guys Bama 2028 class isn’t anything special it’s early . I am seeing a lot of the same types of recruits in the 2027 class that’s in the 2028 class . Maybe some will rise but it’s not Bama level recruiting. Small class or not signing zero players in your own state and mostly signing 3 stars regardless of how the staff had to retain. OU retained almost all the guys they wanted off that defense from last year and still had money to spend on 2027 You can’t ignore one without falling behind regardless of how you guys feel about keeping 2026 talent. Not trying to be a dick about it but that’s just the reality

The state of Alabama is experiencing a potentially all-time weak in-state class for 2027.
The highest rated player in the state is ranked #90 overall in the country: Rivals
The in-state class of 2028 has 6 players ranked in the top 83: Rivals
Alabama's class next year is going to be significantly better due to better talent being available.

Bro, no one knows reality in college football right now.
This could be a calculated roster move that works or it could be a huge mistake.
Long-term, no one has seen this many kids getting this much money at nearly every school. No one had seen a team of 24-year-olds until Indiana did it.
We don’t know how this will work, and neither do you, or Oklahoma, or any other school. It’s anybody’s guess, and we’re riding with this just like you are.
I’m not worried because I have no idea what’s normal anymore.

lol i never said any class sucked up front … we already knew it sucked that’s a given …. 2028 is irrelevant when i start a thread talking about 2027…. and for whatever reason Bama fans are talking about 2028 because they have 5-6 recruits in the bag when most are still evaluating players lol. I said 2027 nothing about 2028. Maybe it’s easier to move on after having a poor class I don’t know your guys thought process but again we talking about 2027 and how worried are you lol

No. This was expected this year. Next years class is shaping up to be top 5. Alabama can’t play the NIL game that many of the major programs can. So far this staff has done a good job of finding under evaluated players that fit scheme and and of playing well.

This doesn’t make sense. Even if Bama signs a small class, aren’t you concerned about the quality of the recruits they sign? A small class would presumably mean Bama can be more selective, but as of now there are not many 4&5 stars committed.

Certainly not in the unlimited class of wealth generation, but more likely upper middle class with a nice home in the suburbs with low to no debt. A fiscally conservative approach isn't the worst approach, even if it means playing shooty hoops in an airplane hanger.
