I'm sure he did over sleep, but it was probably because he was up til 5am partying balls with a slew of blondes.

Point remains the same. Guy kept his foot on the gas pedal for the last 8 months and managed to stay out of trouble.

i understand that. but they are going to make a big deal out of anything. today is a prime example of that. thats my point. they are very good at what they do

That's part of the reason I love Saban's tendency to be an iron-fisted dictator when it comes to the program. He sends football automatons out onto the field who, by and large, have had certain behaviors programmed into them.

That, and the fact that he's more the focus of attention than any one player makes things a lot easier. We don't get a lot of headline-making single players. If one of them fricks up, "Oh, he's just another cog in the machine."

Obviously this is an oversimplification, but it actually works to our advantage sometimes.

At least you're willing to talk it out instead of being abrasive and calling me a hick.

I think some of you are glossing this over a bit too much. Sumlin's statement seemed pretty harsh, it's a real issue from here on out.

I don't have a problem with smack talk either but when you let it get to you so bad that you let it cause a penalty and that much attention then his attitude needs adjusting. You can trash talk without all the gestures and attention.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that. Sumlin will bench his arse again if he doesn't learn from it.

You don't know anything about Kevin Sumlin.

I have total faith in our coach. There's no doubt who the Grown arse Man is when the two of them are in a room together.

Right.

Sumlin is a pushover. You want to exert power.. Bench his arse after Johnny blatantly walked by you on national television.

It's not that I can't stand the guy. I would like to see him mature and get it together. I am just hoping they do it before he goes to far. I think Sumlin is serious and will handle it. Let's just hope Manziel can handle that. He just doesn't seem like the type that takes authority very well to me.

Sumlin was pretty clear he hadn't learned from it.

i dont think sumlin has the power to bench manziel. all those old rich guys who are paying for the new stadium stuff want to see him play no matter what he does, and the university is going to make that happen. if they are not careful they are gong to sour things with sumlin though, if a single player takes precedence over his authority to control his own team. can you imagine saban or miles not being able to sit anyone on the roster for however long they decided to?

Sumlin's approach

I like my $$$ and security so I don't want to touch this train. Oh, I just got my shite handed to me on national television by a 20 year old kid. I am might cry in the post game because I am in a tough spot but the money wins.

Bench his arse and put the money into investments if you make it or not at A&M for the next three years. Sumlin got owned on National television and is about to cry in the post game is laughable.

I've lost all respect for the man. Players coach isn't working buddy.

His autograph gesture was damn stupid. He should get benched the full game next week against SHST. Sumlin needs to make sure Manziel understands who is the boss and what is expected from a leader.

This is a really odd thread. Umm... congrats? I read most of it and most of it is nonsense. You're damn right I'm upset about how JFF is representing the team and the university, but I don't think that's what you're asking. "Showing Up Sumlin"? Is that a serious question? That ain't gonna happen, no matter how much young Aggies whine. If Manziel needs to be kicked out, he'll be kicked out and Aggies will absolutely support Kevin Damn Sumlin. I don't think it will come to that - I really think Sumlin will straighten that idiot out. But I grant that may be wishful thinking. If I'm wrong and you're asking me to choose - it's KDS, and it isn't close.
