Lol so what are his reasons then? You asked and I gave you answers and you threw another tantrum.
Also… you do realize that not every player starts the moment they step on the campus, right? Is he supposed to start over the incumbent starting QB who is a heisman favorite going into the season?
Like I said: the grown men losing their minds over a decision that doesn’t affect their lives one iota is pretty comical
Since you clearly know more about the Mannings, why did he opt out?
quote:So you don’t see how it could be a distraction in the locker room that he gets plenty of press over it despite not playing, while other starters on the team at different positions will not get the same press despite opting in?
Also, he's a fricking back up.

Meh I’d rather talk about scores, stats, etc., and not trashing the players much beyond that unless it’s something significant.

Youre comparing a guy that hasn't taken meaningful snaps or won the starting job to a heisman winner/1st rounder

This . . .I think the absolute worst thing that happened to Arch was the recruiting services turning lapdog and giving him a highly speculative perfect ranking score. That has engendered some enmity.
Seems like a nice, quiet young man who keeps to himself and tries to work. No need to hate on him for every small decision.

That really worked out for them, huh? There's more press about a back up not opting in than any of their starters opting in.

Imagine what social media would be like if people only discussed super serious shite that only affects them? That would be no fun.

I do know the Mannings. I grew up in the same sports circles as Eli. I can whole-heartedly tell you they did not make Arch opt out to focus on football or to not accept NIL money. That's not how they work.

Hah it's common knowledge that he is crushing it and I have met him a couple times at ACC.
This might bother me if it wasn't coming from a grown man who spends the entirety of his day making gifs and alternating between a dozen alters from his mom's basement.

It will hurt his brand to be rated 65

Weird, because that came straight from Eli and Archie.

You seem REALLY bothered by this

I do know the Mannings.

The message here is simple. Nephew, play your butt off and prepare each day as if you’re the starter. Ewers has missed six games over the past two seasons and the opportunity to shine could arise sooner than you think.
Uncle Eli is speaking from experience. Then Ole Miss coach David Cutcliffe redshirted Eli in 1999 behind starter Romaro Miller, who then beat him out in Manning's redshirt freshman season, limiting the Manning to only six games. Over his last three seasons, Manning rewrote the SEC stat book and became the top overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft.

Read this out loud to yourself and tell the class why this lines up with what I said above...

I see reading is not a strength of yours. I never compared them, the guy I was responding to did, (which is stupid to begin with considering he's no longer on LSU).

I think the best part was that poster demanding respect for having the No. 1 QB committed… while Arch is a former No. 1 QB recruit sitting behind another No. 1 QB recruit

quote:This is the important question, not all this purse swinging about a Manning who is almost certainly just a bit overrated because of his last name.
So if he opts out of the game do they still have QB #16 or do they just make up a complete different player?

Not a chance. That would make him very dumb.

Name a single NIL deal Arch has received that he didn't donate to charity. It should be really easy to find
