The swirling of rumors has him leaning BAMA but this is a distraction- behind the scenes there is a calm confidence he will be a ga bulldog.

There is almost no chance he goes to Georgia.

Wherever he goes will be doomed by a legacy player they have to start who isn't actually that good.

Who needs an Arch when you have a Gunner?

Are you in Nola? That’s not what I’m hearing

Clemson had quietly taken a lead late summer.
Georgia visit blew him away.
Ole miss is falling substantially behind.
Saban has his ear.
Texas is still hanging around

He’s 17 so he doesn’t even know yet but if I were putting odds on it I would say

+150 Bama
+175 Georgia
+650 Texas

I think is NSD is today he goes to Georgia but something feels like Saban wins this one

Family ties aside, I just feel like I’ve seen this story so many times before.

no question. Saban is going to reap the rewards of having three or four straight excellent quarterbacks

We have 2 great QBs ahead of him. I think if he came in, Kirby would feel obligated to play him, even if he's not the best option, and cause one of the other ones to transfer. I think we're good with what we got. Let bama and texas battle this one out.

Im not sure why this is? They are having a great season with their only loss vs Bama. His Dad and Uncle are OM legends his dad is an OM Alum. I'm not saying he goes there but Ole Miss will be in the mil til the end

This isn’t that important to the Manning family. The only reason why we got Eli was by hiring Cut.

He very well might not want to come in under the shadow of 3 other Ole Miss legends.

His best chance to play immediately is at Texas. Wherever he goes, kid is immensely overrated. He is good, just not special like everyone wants to make him. How do you know this? Kid can't dominate his 1A private school competition. Many better QB prospects out there that won't bring all the baggage and overhyped. I sure as hell wouldn't want him.

Fool.. he is having as just as much success at Newman as Payton or Eli, maybe more. Record is about the same but organization of LHSAA has changed separating out private and select from public. and it is 2A not 1A.

I’ve watched him since 7th grade, have videos etc. he is the real deal pro-style QB… which is quite unusual in high school today. He sees and reads the field, makes all throws, strong arm, accurate, great mechanics, accurate, faster of foot than Payton or Eli….did I mention accurate?

My bets are on Texas and Alabama. Oh … and another thing…I doubt you are smarter than 247sports.

You’re comparing apples and oranges here. They were in HS a long time ago.

I do wonder how good he actually will be. My guess is he might base his decision on what the QB situation is going forward at these schools.

I seriously doubt that Arch wants to compete with Ty Simpson at UA and TBH I am not sure he could beat him out either

No, mid 90s to early 2000s was not “long ago.” I would argue LA high school football then was stronger than it is now, especially in smaller classifications. 1998 public school 1A Kentwood or Port Sulpher or Oak Grove would have (and did) smeared many much larger schools.

Some of you commentators, maybe from out of State or not conversant about LHSAA football, are ragging on a player you have …

- never seen,
- know nothing about,,
- who is playing in a State where you probably can’t name five high Schools in his division (without google),
- in a league you are unfamiliar with,
- completely unaware of the level of completion…
- unable to name his coaches or teammates…

…yet you are smarter about his prospects than the recruiting services, Nick Saban, Sarkisian, Kirby Smart, Lane Kiffin.

The arrogance is overwhelming.

I’ve seen Arch play three times, watch highlights and see the box scores. He is overrated based on his name. Racks up stats against Lighthouse of the Blind and struggles every time Newman plays a decent team.
