Alabama has now tied Ohio State at most appearances at #1 in the AP Poll from 1936 to 2018. Both are now at 105.

Haters will hate, but that's damn impressive

Can't argue with anything there. However, I think by the Auburn game in two week, the offense will be considerably better than what was seen on Sunday night.

It's hard to know because O didn't even really try and score in the second half. It was all about ball control and clock draining. A fine strategy considering the situation, but it made it hard to get a read on Burrow and the offense.

Notre Dame to 8 after beating a shitty UM team
I'm surprised they didn't go to No.1....They have been overrated for years.

Lol. Wisconsin received a first place vote. They're not a top ten team.

Definitely disagree here. They are very damn good this year.

Tons of experience, unreal OL, and a solid defense. I think they win the Big 10.

So if somebody gets upset, we may have us a top ten AU-LSU game in two weeks.

Not sure about the rest of the top 10, but Stanford plays USC this weekend.

Hypothetical: LSU sneaks into the Top 10 before next weekend. Auburn beats LSU 27-21 in a close game throughout.

How far does LSU drop? How far behind Washington? How high does Auburn rise with 2 Top 10 wins in 3 games.

I’d bet LSU would be several spots behind UW, and Auburn still outside the 4 playoff spots.

25. Florida

Mullen shelled many cupcake teams in openers at State - and most of those State teams were coming off much better seasons than Florida this year.

Must be nice to be on the fringe of the top 25 at all times in the minds of AP voters.

how is lsu ahead of state?

mullen has bought and paid for a great football team this year, even though he's not there this year. he learned his lesson from not paying for cam, and it shows with his 600 pound gorilla with a weedeater for a penis.

Agree. 11 is a bit high. I was expecting around 18.

Glad LSU did jump that high. I honestly thought Auburn was gong to beat Washington worse than they did so I see why Washington didn’t drop much. Loser of Auburn LSU assuming it’s close shouldn’t drop far either.

Finally! USCe in the polls, they can all shut up about being ranked for once. Thank you, AP.

I think the issue is the AP voters are voting like LSU badly beat a legit top ten team when they actually beat a top 25 team.

Or maybe they're correcting for underrating LSU. Miami shouldn't have been #8 and LSU shouldn't have been #25

I'm for LSU being as high as possible when we play them.

Enough.

Mullen's a good coach. He will do fine with upgraded athletes to run his offense.

He has flaws, but all coaches do. Time will tell if his flaws wreck him at FL, but 9-3 or 10-2 should be his floor after this year.

Looks better if we beat them. Maybe they will slide in the top 10 before the game.

Don’t think Notre Dame is overrated. Michigan is not a good team but they are from being bad (even though it pains me to type that). #8 for ND is about right. They will still have to earn it as their schedule is not a cakewalk. Down the road they play Va Tech, FSU, Stanford, USC, Northwestern, Pitt and even Wake Forest and Syracuse are no gimmies.

Notre Dame being strong is good for college football. They have a great fan base around the nation. They have had some great match ups with SEC over the decades and hopefully that will continue.

The Irish play Vandy next week and hopefully it will be a great game or at least entertaining.

Not sure why some of our SEC brethren are so anti-Notre Dame. I like them and pull for them when they are playing teams outside the SEC. Especially, Michigan the other night.

Go Irish except on September 15th.

Mark Richt too high.

Also, the Hurricanes should be ranked lower...
