I agree that the college football playoff committee should stack quality wins and compare teams.
Losses should be ignored until two teams have equal quality wins on their resume'.
But college football has worked that way NEVER.
The undefeated but unchallenged is always sexy.
And that further emphasizes that loss avoidance always trumps elite scheduling.

Last 50 years: UF 3, OSU 2
Last 20 years: UF 2, OSU 1
And Florida was constantly battling championship teams to get there. In the last 50 years, OSU’s only real in-conference competition has only 1 title.
OSU is more of a paper tiger than Oklahoma is.

Michigan prison raped them, then UGA curb stomped them in the 4th quarter 18-3 and if not for about 20 uncalled holding penalities by their OLine to make it look alot closer than it was, that would have been a complete stomping. That was one of the most undeserving teams to have a shot at a Natty in the history of CFB.
