His radio show is boring as f. I don't know why anyone cares what he thinks.

Does Danny just troll on Twitter now that he was fired from ESPN and can’t do it in real life? What a miserable existence.

Russillo is exactly right. Kannell is a bitter, angry, little child who didn't get his way and now he wants to throw a tantrum.
He honestly despises the SEC, that he would rather see all of CFB collapse than see the SEC succeed.

Fair point. My argument however has never been about Bama getting in over OSU. I can honestly see a reason for letting either of them in. My issue is with the two teams who got punished for having to play an extra game that Bama did not have to play. One of those teams being Auburn. A team who had already beaten Bama and Georgia and had a close loss with Clemson. Now two of those teams (who Auburn beat) are in and Auburn is not. Meanwhile, Bama gets rewarded for NOT playing a game.
You have to bring up the question. What if Bama had to play that extra game? What if they lost it? Would they be in? The obvious answer is no. But we don't know that they would have lost or won BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE TO PLAY THE GAME.
I honestly DGAF that Bama got in over OSU. My issue with it is that I believe, when healthy, Auburn is without a doubt one of the top 4 teams and I hate Auburn about as much as I do Bama but they did beat two of the teams that are now in the playoffs. The real fricked up thing is, that by how this played out, Auburn could have won that game against Clemson too AND WOULD HAVE STILL BEEN LEFT OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS as a two loss team who didn't win their conference. THAT'S fricked up.

If they were "without a doubt" one of the top 4 teams they would probably have beaten UGA in the title game. They got hot and won 2 games at home, one against a team hit hard with injury. They wouldn't get to play the playoff games at home. Speaking of which, all their 3 losses were on the road. If they were without a doubt one of the 4 best teams in the nation, the wouldn't have played that badly, that often, away from home.
Maybe you just relate to them because of 2011. Not being a smartass. Just an observation.

I am not sure how tranparent something can be, other than their expalanations.
Every year will present something different. Heck, every week does. You can't just say all conference champions, or no one with multiple losses, or can't have 2 from one conference. If you want to have it open to all across the country, you can't put restrictions on who can be included. Imagine a 3 loss Oregon State upsetting an undefeated USCw on a last second FG after the QB was dinged up. Boom, now we have to include Oregon State.
Imagine if Auburn blew out UGA, but no they have 2 losses, got to bring in Central Florida in their spot.
All conferences are not equal, all conference champions are not equal, all 0 or 1 loss teams are not equal, so why treat them that way?

The same could be said about Bama. If Bama really was a top 4 team, they would have beaten Auburn.
Auburn lost to Georgia in the SECCG because of injuries. Injuries that would have been healed by playoffs. Auburn would have stood a good chance of winning the NC if they were in it and fully healed.
That being said, your argument still doesn't hold up because you didn't play Georgia. They very well could have beaten you in the SECCG thus eliminating Bama from the playoffs. Instead, Bama got a free pass into the playoffs by not having to play that game and an injured Aiburn team got eliminated because they had to play that game.

I'm not upset about the 2011 game. I have said here many times that Bama and LSU were without a doubt the two top teams that year. Both were absurdly loaded with talent. Both were extremely good teams. Saban just changed his game plan and Miles did not. Bama totally deserved that win.

Well Kanell is a dumbass if he really thought Alabama wasn't going to get in.
I thought maybe it was an act, but apparently not.

You obviously don’t know or listen to Kanell. I have this year and I actually agree with him more often than not. If you don’t realize that ESPN is a division of the university of Alabama you are not paying attention, but that is not what he said at all.
He said he doesn’t have problem with Bama getting in except they say the value conference champs, etc. but with the eyeball test and “best” team mandate etc really can do whatever they want so why do we even try to figure it out since it will change from person to person to year to year. And he is correct.
What he advocates and I have also since day 1 is 8 team playoff. 5 conference champs best of group of five as 6 seed and Two wildcards as 7 and 8 seeds. You get a bonus in seeding if you win your conference and eyeball test goes to two teams. What the hell is wrong with this?
We are loving this because we are always getting it. Let us get left out a few years and we hate it too.
He doesn’t hate SEC, he does think Bama gets way too much deference on everything so maybe he hates Bama. Hence, he is my new best friend lol

You think Alabama was at full strength when they played Auburn? Alabama has played with major injuries to the LB corp for 11/12 of the schedule.
If Alabama did not have injuries, then this entire conversation about whether Alabama deserves to be in or not is moot. Alabama is unbeaten, #1, and SEC Champs....

No, we've all been listening to Kanell's anti-Bama/SEC bullshite for years that's why Rusillo was right to call him out on it.
Last year, the conspiracy between ESPN & the committee was to get tOSU in. Now,magically, it's switched to ESPN/the committee working to get Bama in & tOSU out.
The most likely scenario is that the committee, just like they said, thought the horrible loss to Iowa disqualified the Buckeyes.
