I thought we were talking about BBQ. When did an oven start getting involved in BBQ?

Women are used to using ovens for their sugar meat. Pits are man's work.

I don't have a problem with the rivalry or the name "Gulf War". I just hope there will never be some godawful trophy like "The Golden Boot". There wouldn't be enough players on either team to carry it.

We'll see how long it lasts. We're like a rivalry succubus, we just put on pretenses of rivalry until we drain the life from the program and cast the corpse aside. See also: Tulane, Ole Miss

I'd rather a pot of freshly boiled Crawfish over BBQ 7 days a week and 3 times on a sunny Saturday.

What college football games are you attending or watching where crawfish are in season?

There is this thing called shrimp where they are not in season. I was raised on Texas BBQ, Memphis BBQ, and Louisiana culture. I'm very familiar with all three and enjoy all three.

However, I'll take that unique dishes of Louisiana over salt and pepper on beef, and bold Mediterranean spices on pork .

Oh yeah, it's a natural rivalry. Tons of LSU alums and Louisiana people in Houston and Dallas. Lots of texans in Louisiana. The Gulf War will last. But it's not a long term replacement for Texas.

I'll have to read and see if this was a serious or flame thread.
