Brisket is true BBQ. Much more of a challenge to make it right but if you do beef will always beat pork. I mean I love a great pork chop but it will never beat a filet.
Oh, and Aggies can make Pork BBQ. I actually have a side business specializing in it. Here is a couple of butts I did recently:

What college football games are you attending or watching where crawfish are in season?
Made me laugh.
We've actually got great access to a lot of live crawfish over here at prices not much different than you're going to find in south La. I boil every weekend in season. The BBQ in Aggieland is suspect outside of Fargo's, but you'll find plenty of tailgaters with skills.
Gameday gumbo is where it's at if you're doing the Cajun thing. Hard to find any decent andouille in the B/CS, though.

But it's not a long term replacement for Texas.
When did LSU have a Texas rivalry?

I think AnM is gonna be the perennial number two in the West. They are going to unseat the Tigers in that spot. The recruiting is going to keep getting better, plus better coach. Although I do believe that LSU wins this year.

Their fan bases are almost carbon copies of each other. Except, one of the fan bases deserves to feel a cut above, and the other doesn't. Therefore, I can DEFINITELY see this shite happening. Damn good point. Good thread idea.

Well, since they beat Bama and lost to LSU, I'd say they have a bigger rivalry with Bama.

It could happen, but we'll wait and see. People thought LSU-Arkansas would become a huge blood rivalry when they joined, but it never really materialized. We have history with A&M, but we had it with Arkansas, too, albeit further back. LSU and Arkansas played frequently back in the early 20th century, and I've heard that the reason the series ended was that it got too bitter.
Supposedly, in one game when we were playing them, we had the ball inside their five yard line and got a penalty. The ref penalized us half the distance to the goal. Our goal. Out past midfield. I can just see the meltdown if that happened today.

I think there are a few differences:
1. We have always played yall close. Sure its been streaky lately, but the all time is actually close considering we were an ROTC rent-a-win most of that time.
2. The oil and gas connections.
3. Houston

It is crazy how well A&M fits in with the SEC but how awful Missouri does...especially in the East division.
We need to get VT in the SEC get rid of Missouri and call it quits.
