Anyone else have a strange feeling about Auburn?

I think the Barnies might win the west this year.
-> LSU is going to get hit hard with the reality of a lot of their talent leaving. Will still be good, but will end up with 2 losses (Maybe 3).
-> It honestly seems like Bama has been having some difficulties the past two years. This year's Bama team just did not seem at all like a "Nick Saban team". I don't think he's losing his touch, but that they are just going through a small rebuilding cycle. I would never count Saban out though.
-> Gus the bus is one lucky SoB, and he tends to surprise people when they least expect it. Plus he knows he just has to win the west to get a few more years and continue bumming at waffle house to the dismay of all the Aubies.
Gus beats the Blue Bastards in Atlanta then loses in the first round of the tourney.

I don’t know if they win it. Lose a lot on defense. You are right though as they are very dangerous when overlooked. Seem to come out of nowhere

They lose 4/5 on OL IIRC

3 to 5 losses as usual.

Yea, I think LSU and Bama will be better overall teams, but all that has to happen is LSU beat Auburn, Bama beat LSU, LSU lose another random game because growing pains, and then Auburn beat Bama. Really not that outlandish of a scenario.

We would have to really gel more so than I am seeing, but it could happen I suppose. We were in abysmal offensive team for several games last year, and without DB and Marlon on defense we're gonna have to amp that offense up 2X, certainly early in the season. We will have a legit running game this year, I believe.
The dark horse team I think is A&M. Jimbo takes a lot of crap on this board and some of it deserved because he is as slick as owl shite, but he has recruited really well and his QB is back, and he's a good coach. Their history is not favorable, but maybe that change. They have some studs in both sides of the ball and they are deeper than most. I haven't seen their schedule but they may have as much talent as anyone.

I get a strange feeling EVERYTIME I come across an AU fan. Drunken, toothless yahoos fascinate me. How can one school have so many of them

Always seems like Aubie is gonna go undefeated or have like 4 or 5 losses. No in between.

Obviously you have never spent a Saturday in Athens

What? They were a senior laden team last year (which is virtually impossible to do these days)I believe they lost 12 starting Seniors.Cannot remember the last time that happened at UGA.
I have no idea how they get these guys to stick around four years when LSU,Bama and UGA almost always lose their significant draft eligible juniors every year.

Auburn is hurting where you can't hide it- OL and DL. They will be worse next year imo.
Folks writing off Bama need to look at the pre-season D depth chart vs what they played with. They had a freak injury year on the D side of the ball....and still almost backed in to the CFP. Writing them off is fools gold imo.

With Bo Nix at QB? nah

No way. I expect Bo Nix to improve but we lost a ton on defense. We lost our senior-laden OL - but that’s a push since they were hot garbage for the most part anyway.
Gus will pull off one, maybe two surprising/big wins then shite the bed several times. 3-4 losses probably. Will that be enough to get him canned? Depends on who we beat. We’ll see.

Oline and Dline. Their #1 and #3 RB plus their secondary.
Top end production lost on "D"
Top two in tackles - three of top five and six of top ten
Top two in tfl - three of top five in tfl
Top two in sacks
Two of top three in ints
Two of top three and three of top five in pbu

Auburn would have been lucky to win 6 or 7 games last year without that defense they had. Gus has a lot on his hands this year if he wants to try and win the west. Bo Nix has to improve a ton, Gus has to call better plays, and he better hope that Steele is actually a good DC.
I think the west will be between LSU and Bama this year, with A&M as a sleeper in the west, but the sleeper in the conference this year will be Florida. I wouldn’t be surprised if they win the conference this year and make the playoffs

I mean, defense is pretty important. I mean, how good was LSU gonna be in 2011 without their defense?

I have no idea why LSU fans have such hard on for UF.I suppose the reason is because they have played you guys pretty tough the last 2 years.

This isn't gonna happen. They took losses at DL,DB,WR and RB.
They do have a cakewalk of a schedule though.
