Show is getting on my nerves.
They should re name it true poor black people south
It’s the same shite , every episode.
Collard greens and gravy and and some bbq. Rinse wash repeat. Move over a state.
This dude that narrates voice makes me want to kick puppies.

Agree
“This week on True South we go to a small town and eat biscuits and talk to people. Some of them are interesting. Some of them are not”

The other who shall not be named is the producer of the show and is just as terrible as him.

I watched the one about The Black Belt cause that’s where I grew up, have not been back in decades. It seems that part of the world is basically a 2nd and a half World Country teetering on 3rd world.

Enlightened Southerner.
"Boy howdy, do I love the South! Specifically I love talking about only the most negative aspects of its history and shining a bright light on social injustices that happened decades before I was born. I also love talking about how much 'progress' the South is making these days by moving away from anything that could potentially be considered traditionally or culturally Southern, unless it is practiced exclusively by blacks. I also love biscuits and gravy so you just know I'm a true Southerner. That's why I moved up North, because I just love the South so much and can't stand to see its reputation tarnished by rednecks and hillbillies and conservative people generally. I don't associate with those types of people."

Well.there it is, right? These enlightened folks told us everything would be better if we remedy the injustices of the past. Same folks that said run the Colonialist out of Africa and it would be better.

I watched less than one full episode. That dickwad was wearing a t shirt that read, “make cornbread, not war.”

Love the show, show gets to the origins of true southern living and it’s very diverse chracters and stories

Only episode I watched was on Hodgenville, KY. Town is named for one of my great great grandfathers. Did not see any reason to give another episode a view. Bunch of liberal pandering.
