Open the app and take a screenshot of your barcode/QR before you go. Easy.
Has this not led to a lot of funny business with scalpers scamming people with duplicate tickets? Always figured e-tickets could be ripe for stuff like that

Lots of complicated steps for a 7th generation inbred hillbilly.

I mean, if you're dumb enough to buy a screenshot...sure.

There are high school game season tickets worth more than your upper deck trash seats. No one cares.

Not sure what the plan is for visiting teams.
Visitors still get physical tickets. As of last year, the visiting ticket allotment is now administered by the SEC. It used to be the school's responsibility to give the visiting team the tickets but now they are all branded with generic 'SEC' branding instead. I miss seeing how all the schools would design their own tickets with artwork. Its all bland now.

Not all "progress" is actually a step forward.

I generally have always saved my ticket stubs, especially from memorable games.
I've saved all my ticket stubs, ever since I was a kid . I doubt I'd trade my student ticket stubs for anything. They were $4 back in the 90's

A lot of progress these days simply seems so be progress for the sake of progress

Same here. I have tickets going back as far as 1960's.

I went to GA/FL last year and had my tickets in the wallet app thing. they wouldn't scan but the nice old lady working there just let my buddy and me in anyways after looking at my phone

I received 4 tickets for tonight's game from my wife's (no pics) uncle yesterday. I kept 2 and transferred the other 2.
It literally took me 5 minutes. The big issue would be if your phone died while tailgating...I actually bought e-tickets from a scalper for the Music City Bowl. I'm old and prefer paper tickets, but this isn't the end of the world.
If it makes it more difficult for UT season ticket holders to scalp tickets to opposing fans...then it is what it is.

Y’all have phones up there?
We do have phones...we also have a 64-bit 1.0 Exaflop computer (note that the UT in UT-Battelle that manages the Oak Ridge National Laboratory is The University of Tennessee). This is the first Exascale computer in the US.
