Is it me, or is the rest of the country more adamant than ever that they want to find a way to keep the SEC out of the playoff? If Georgia wins out they'll have no choice but to let us in, but any slip-ups and they'll try to keep the SEC out completely.

I know this sentiment is an every year thing, but it seems like it's getting stronger as of late. Anyone else seeing the same thing right now, or am I paranoid?

A 1 loss Georgia is still more deserving of a playoff spot than an undefeated Big10 or Pac12 team...

I thought the whole point of the committee was to decide on who the best teams are??

No you’re right. They got so hyped when the SEC started out slow but now it looks like it has a legitimate claim as still being the toughest conference and they can’t handle it and are doubling down.

It does seem likely if Alabama pulls the upset against Georgia in the SECCG. That no SEC team will make the playoffs

Feel like I haven't seen any of that. Everyone is pretty high on UGA and to a lesser extent Bama and Mizzou. No one else in the conference is really worth discussing though.

SEC is undoubtedly not as good as it was in the 2010s but it's still probably the best conference (because other than the PAC the other ones suck pretty bad).

What you're calling "Anti-SEC Sentiment" is accelerated Georgia fatigue from CFB, who's acting like we haven't had 10+ years of Bama dominance and even when UGA has won it all, Alabama has been in the mix most years.

The other conferences being filled with teams that are garbage. One of the PACs ranked teams lost to Mississippi state and 75 percent of the big 10 can’t throw a forward pass.

a one loss uga with that loss being sec title game will likely not make it unless chaos elsewhere and you can blame the sec for removing the oklahoma game
now if tenn somehow upsets uga and than uga beats bama they are a lock
bama gets in as a one loss sec champ

the thorn in the side of the sec is Texas having that win over bama and if they win out as big 12 champs

I think the big ten still has the best shot of getting two in with Ohio St and Michigan unless they hold a grudge on Michigan with this scandal

A one loss FSU is not getting in and I don't think a one loss Louisville deserves it

A one loss Oregon will likely get in as well as pac 12 champs

We'll keep it up until it stops working.

That said, there is a distinct lack of respect for the two-time defending National Champions, and if you don't see that, you're part of the problem.

CBS blocked Alabama last year. (CBS - B1G TV deal)

CBS wants the B1G to gain more prestige by being more competitive in the playoffs.

But then Michigan took a dump against TCU and it was all for naught.

Yeah.

Plus Bama lost to Texas and put us all in jeopardy. I blame Bama. I think that's fair.

The way the committee has been ranking teams it is not a crazy idea.

It isn't just you. Some of those at the edge of the playoff need a slip by the top teams. The NCAA loves the idea of a playoff that doesn't have the SEC in it.

"Us"? What's this Us business?

I don't give a shite about any of this SEC pride bullshite. If my team's not all up in it, then I don't frickin' care.
