While those stories are sad, they are statistically insignificant. Tens of millions of people have safely been vaccinated.
There is fearmongering and stupidity on both sides. I'm not in favor of mandates, but I certainly don't think any less of someone who chooses to get it, either.

It's been nearly a year since these broken vaccines came out, and not once have I read that Moderna and co. are still trying their best to develop something better.

Not all vaccines are sterilizing vaccines. Polio isn’t a sterilizing vaccine either but I don’t see anyone not calling it a vaccine.

Do you realize how many drugs and vaccines have been denied any type of approval for less. Those are just three stories but there are many more.
Yet, when you take in the fact the disease itself is not highly fatal it makes no sense to take the risks that we are for an experimental vaccine. Getting covid is not a death sentence, and neither is the vaccine. However, one you can decide not to take if that is your CHOICE.
I am purely anti mandate, and will fight for peoples choice. I have taken the vaccine, but will fight so my children do not have to because they are the least affected and no need to take the vaccine at all. They all have had covid and that should be good enough at that age.

And the 4 people I know who died of blood clots and “rare side effects” from the shot over the past two months don’t matter.
If people want to get it that’s their choice but don’t pretend that the shot is something that it isn’t. Let people choose and take the risk they want. Otherwise just call us the USSA.
Also let people have a choice in medical treatments when doctors literally tell them, “go home and if you get worse or your oxygen drops below 90 then come back.”

But you can still catch polio with the polio vaccine. It just reduces the rate in which you can transmit.
COVID vaccines do that as well, as someone who is vaccinated that is infected has a shorter timeframe off higher transmission than someone that is unvaccinated.
We can argue about mandates all day. And that’s fine. But acting like it doesn’t work or isn’t a vaccine because you can still contract the virus is simply untrue.
