but I think Sankey, the SEC, and the "CEOs" could be more productive by doing something other that "voting" to remove LSU.
First, there's not a vote against kicking out LSU that wouldn't come without backlash from Sankey.
Second, why not try to fix the issues in front of you. You have to define what classifies someone as an NFL player.
Third, be a grown-up and not make this about one program. Both Texas and South Carolina signed former NFL players, and since the SEC hasn't defined what that is... those two are/were NFL players.
Forth, LSU didn't break any of your rules.
Anyway..... in the end, i would expect every team in the SEC to vote to remove LSU, because you benefit from removing those that challenge you.

The truth is we love LSU. We do. The games are awesome. And your school is special.
But two things can be true.
It’s also true your coach may have been out of bounds. Allegedly, he encouraged players to sue the league for his own benefit and for the benefit of the LSU.
If this is true. And that remains to be proven in court, you need to fix the situation.
It’s not okay. And if the school doesn’t fix it, the SEC seems that will do it for you.
And yes. I do think it’s political. But it’s real.

The attitude shown on this board by LSU fans is exactly the same as that shown by the leadership - governor, AG, AD, president and HC. For a productive solution, these people need to want one. So far, they have not. Indeed, all their actions have been antagonistic.

This is all for show, for now. I think without something as over the top as this, then the next time a school tries to circumvent a rule put in by the conference, the next vote might be more severe. If the conference as a overwhelming majority goes votes to implement a rule to preserve what’s left of the integrity of the game, then finding some backwater judge to try and get around it will piss off the powers that be. I think most reasonable lsu fans can understand that.

The site is full of retards. I’ll say the SEC has a legitimate gripe against LSU when they start talking expulsion of other members who rostered ineligible players.

There are many interesting things. But this is REALLY interesting.
Are these schools that allowed NFL players, going to vote on kicking out LSU?
South Carolina
Oklahoma
Texas
Kentucky and
Missouri.
Are they going to be allowed to vote? They have former nfl players.

I'm not so sure about it being for show. If it is, it will backfire on the SEC if they can't "get the votes." It'd make Sankey look more lameduck than he already is.
But, he's an emotional girl so maybe he hasn't thought this through.
Or.maybe this is a ploy by the Presidents... Vote sensibly, which essentially a show of no confidence in Sankey.

LSU relented. I don't think there will even be a vote. Maybe a meeting with a strongly worded letter.

When the NCAA lost (or was "enjoined") then individual players started trying to recover the 5th year of eligibility they were cheated out of.
The players seeking to join SEC teams were denied relief by Sankey and crew, hence the follow-on TRO that twisted Sankey into knots.
By judgement, those students were entitled to seek reinstatement as athletes at the school of their choice. When those two selected LSU and were denied by the SEC, what exactly was Kiffin supposed to say?
Look at it this way: if Kiffin and LSU toed the SEC line and refused to accept those players then the school and the program would then become targets of lawsuits by those players.
In the end, Coach Kiffen choose to initially stand by those players and their right to seek their final 5th year of eligibility. And even then, he kept options open for future situations. He didn't roster them, didn't play them, and even said he'd follow the rules of the SEC. Eventually he filled the last two open roster spots.
The thing lost in all the hullabaloo is that at every turn Kiffen and LSU followed "the rules". People are mad that they wouldn't don sackcloth and ashes and grovel for forgiveness - why should they?
I expect Sankey to continue his attempted reinactment of Sherman's March out of sheer spite and vindictiveness. Who knows how it will turn out.
I, for one, would hope that the other SEC schools would realize that they could be next.
But they probably won't.

You don’t know your allegations to be true. Not one person needs a coach to advise them of plaintiff opportunities. Opportunities to get free money are advertised on every corner, including in Texas.
What happens to all of the members when the SEC is subjected to class action measures by players, donors, season ticket holders, etc. for taking arbitrary and capricious action against one select member? I think you all know the answer. The conference should de-escalate this situation ASAP. It is the Plaintiff, not LSU. It sought action, not LSU. It sent a corporate representative to an eligibility trial who either perjured himself or had never read the eligibility rule, not LSU. In fact, LSU wasn’t even party, de facto or otherwise, to the action in the Louisiana court.
