nah, I remember the 92 Miami game well and LAMAR THOMAS on TV saying "We gonna beat Alabama" over and over. I've heard nothing even remotely close to that out of our players. Hell, ND have actually been talking trash (about our secondary).
As for our fans? Well.... um.... I predict that last touchdown of the game will be scored by Ben Howell

Saban is not a coach that would let his players become lackluster

I agree with this. Bama played three good teams this season. In those games, they got dominated by LSU, was completely outplayed by Texas A&M for most of the game, and could have easily lost the Georgia game if it wasn't for really bad clock mismanagement by Mark Richt. Can anybody explain to me why this year's Bama team is so confident and arrogant about their abilities that they are underestimating Notre Dame coming into this game?
You give three examples of 'Bama getting "out played" . Using the same logic:
1.) Michigan put up 299 yards to NDs 239 yards. ND squeaked past Michigan.
2.) They were down 8 with 2:11 left against Pitt who it took 3OTs to win the game. Easily could've lost that game.
3.) Had to kick a game winning field goal against Purdue with 7 seconds left.
4.) Were losing to BYU in the 4th quarter.
Also if you go by top AP teams...Bama is 3-1, ND is 3-0. Using the same logic that you just used. 'Bama is better on paper and that does distill confidence in fans whether you like it or not.

No Bama will crush ND. Should win by 21 plus points.

So because the fans are celebrating number 15 the team is going to come out flat?

I love how people say, "Well, Bama just isn't as good as they were last year..."
Who gives a frick?
This year's team is one of the best, if not the best, in the nation. They can play and beat anyone. They beat the shite out of most of the teams you could stack against them.
It must suck for other fan bases to see perhaps Bama's weakest team in 4 years going to the 'ship. For most programs, a National Championship caliber team is the best team in decades at that particular school.
Last year or the year before or the year before that do not matter. You can only compare Bama's to this year's teams, and they are better than damn near every one of them--in some cases by a large margin.

Close until after halftime. Then Bama goes to the ground just like they did when they were down 11 in the SECCG. Hard to stop Bammer in the second half. But it will be closer than alot of Bama fans think.

I wish we'd just stop counting 1941 altogether.
I totally agree with this. I can see the rationale for the ones claimed before the poll era a lot more than this one. At least those teams were undefeated and several won the Rose Bowl. But 1941 is just bogus all the way around and it's the sole reason why Bama gets so much grief for claimed NC's. Still, I was at the opening game in Dallas and noticed Michigan claims 11. Why doesn't anyone ever say anything about that?

I don't think Teo is better than Jarvis Jones.
He isnt, but lets compare apples to apples.
JJ is an OLB, Te'o is an ILB. So a better measuring stick would be Te'o vs Ogletree as both are ILB
Games Tackles Solo Asst Sack INT
'tree 10 112 64 48 3 1
Te'o 12 101 46 55 1.5 7
So, not only is he not better than Jarvis Jones, he isnt even as good as Alec Ogletree.
bottom line, hes gonna be an Andy Katzenmoyer in the NFL. It would be a very poor NFL GM who took Te'O over Ogletree based on media hype.

I don't know about flat, but maybe not as focused. I am afraid they look past ND thinking they will.roll them. This team.is not as good as ourlast two NC team's and they certainly are not that much better than ND. Perhaps ND come out with nerves and can't get into a rhythm, but ND can absolutely win this game no doubt.

Bama will bring it and ND will lose. If AJ has his normal solid to great game there will be no problems.
