They just aren't what they were last year. If a QB is having an "on" night, we're not very good at all.

Well this is a rebuilding year for Alabama football. As far as a QB having an "on" night. Golson isn't Johnny Football or remotely close. I would even argue that Mettenberger has better skills than Golson. At this point, I don't THINK Golson is any better than Jordan Jefferson.

I think he will put up similar numbers to Jordan Jefferson in 2009.

17 attempts 10 completions 58.8% 114 yards yards 6.7 1 TD 0 134.56

7 rushes 16 yards

Actually Jordan Jefferson numbers from 2009 and Golson's numbers this year...are UN-frickING-CANNY

Missed the Ga game prediction by one point on both sides. Pretty much nailing Bama's scores, and gave too many points to others the other times I predicted, save for the Aggies.

Notre Dame is going to get skull fricked so bad in this game.

The A&M loss will work in Alabama's favor just as the LSU regular season loss did last year... The don't want that feeling again.

If anything, I think it will be Notre Dame that comes out flat due to lack of experience in a game of this magnitude and the fact that they haven't lost in so long.

Golson 166 of 282 58.9% 2135 yds 11 TD's 5 INT's 89 rushes for 305 yds

2440 total offensive yds, combined rushing and passing. Granted he missed a game and a partial game. But he's not nearly the best QB Bama will face. I would argue the Aggies had the best Oline Bama will have faced, and I think Bama has faced better defenses as well.

Jefferson 182 of 296 61.5% 2166yards 17 TD 7INTs

and that's playing against SEC caliber defenses.

I agree with this. Bama played three good teams this season. In those games, they got dominated by LSU, was completely outplayed by Texas A&M, and could have easily lost the Georgia game if it wasn't for really bad clock mismanagement by Mark Richt. Can anybody explain to me why this year's Bama team is so confident and arrogant about their abilities that they are underestimating Notre Dame coming into this game?

Because, the A&M game isn't a loss if we hadn't played LSU the week before, and LSU had a bye before we played them. Don't get me wrong, those aren't excuses, they're just observations. We have every right to be arrogant, we're the best team in the country. The real question is who the hell is number 2?

Use the same way of thinking on ND that you just did on Bama. It's about the same. Then you throw in the fact that 'Bama has played better opponents and they are more talented and deeper.

I'm not predicting a Bama win, but on paper, they should win.

Bama lost the Texas A&M game because of personnel and poor playcalling by Doug Nussmeier. They could have played Texas A&M in the third week of the season and it still wouldn't change the fact that Bama needs faster linebackers and a better pass rush to contain Manziel.

I just don't think we want it as bad as N.D. does.

Being a champion and the better team requires not only talent but mental fortitude as well. It's the effing national championship game. If your guys can't get up for this game, they are a mentally weaker team than ND.

Whoever wins Monday Night is the better team. Talent on paper doesn't matter for shite if it doesn't produce results on the field.

ETA - Bama by two scores.
