Agreed.

I'd need to know what's in it for me? I'll need the gate from one of these games at least....probably more.

Why because we don't want to play 3 SEC road games in 13 days? Who in their right mind would agree to play 3 SEC road games in 13 days when we simply don't have to?

Didn't Kentucky basketball agree to most likely playing a double header in the SEC tournament for the good of the conference in like 08?

You want LSU to sacrifice, now you want A&M to sacrifice, what are you willing to have Alabama sacrifice?

I'm guessing zero.

Foley was the one who created this debacle. Alleva has now returned serve with his own selfish idiocy. Instead of cutting USA a check, a SEC game will simply not happen. Which school is more deserving of the title Forfeit U? Alleva is making a helluva case for LSU.

So, instead of sticking to his guns, he should allow a scenario that would force his team to play 3 road games against 3 ranked teams in the space of 12 days. Because of something that was completely beyond their control.

If you ever wonder why you never became an AD at an SEC school, just re--read your ignorant post.

quit whining about it if that is your C H O I C E.

LSU's choice was to play the Florida game this past weekend, Florida refused.

LSU's obligation is to honor their commitment to USA and LSU's fans by having a home game on November 19.

It's pretty simple, even an aggie should be able to figure it out.

al that is really not relevant. It's not about "sticking to your guns" or "playing road games". It's about the SEC commisiioner not forcing Florida to play this game when it could have ealitly been played.

He could have said to play the game Saturday or Sunday or Monday in Gainesville. He could have scheduled it at a neutral site or in Baton Rouge. The weather was fine on all those days at all those places. Weather reports are not a mystery these days. Everyone knew what the weather was going to be or could have been.

Why should LSU be forced to give up a home game and Baton Rouge take the $10 to $15 million dollar hit to the Baton Rouge economy, screw up their and South Alabama's schedule, just because Foley and Florida refused to do the only logical thing that could be done by playing in Gainesville either tonight or last night?

Florida's best choice would have been to agree with Alleva's suggestion to play in Gainesville on Sunday, contingent on the conditions. If things had gotten bad, Florida could have avoided the game without losing face. As it turned out, they look completely foolish.

10-3 "Florida should move the game to Baton Rouge to be safe"

10-10 "How can you expect us to give up a home game, that pays the bills?"

People wanted to move it to BR so the game wouldn't get cancelled, which guess what, it was

Guess what, UF loses a home game either way. Now they want to cost LSU a home game too b/c of their bullshite.

This really isn't that hard to comprehend.

So the team who runs away from a 3 day window to play.. vs the team who wants to have a home game, as scheduled, on 11/19

Chalk me up as an Aggie who completely agrees with Alleva. UF caused this CF. The two options should be an 11/19 game in BR or a UF Forfeit.

No way Sankey has the stones for that unfortunately.

Alleva has the truth on his side.

Give me one good reason LSU (and BR) should give up a home game - and all of the money that goes with it - because of the cowardly crap UF tried to pull?

There isn't one.

Alleva doing the right thing.

Popular opinion is putting this on UF. In actuality, the SEC office is the one who suspended this game. Sankey went into great detail, in an interview on the SECN, why it was suspended.

OP, it's not just a matter of "cutting USA a check". LSU would lose home game revenues of right at $6M, plus the city would lose an estimated $15M. This after the "city" lost millions because of the flood, too. This is not all bout J.A. He's under a lot of pressure from the fans not to cave in to fix a mess Foley & the League caused in the first place.
