Can’t believe LSU would fire a coach 18 months after a NC.
I agree, give that catchers mitt looking sumbitch a lifetime contract.

I can’t believe LSU was dumb enough to fire a national championship winning coach! The coach of the second greatest team of all time!
Who do you people think you are?
We tried to rehab a pitbull and it was great ok, them great, then didn't work out. There have been some incidents but it's best to put it down before there's a mauling.

you LSU fans were wrong when you claimed he was a great coach
He was a great coach in 2019. That's why he won coach of the year.
quote:
the rival fans were right when they said he was a dunce
A lot of us have been saying that since he was hired.
quote:
you are also wrong when you say that any coach can win a national title at LSU
Well the last 3 did and the last 2 were terrible.
quote:
the rival fans are right (again) when they point out that LSU went from the 1950s till Nick Saban arrived with zero titles
What does that have to do with any coach being able to win a championship now?
quote:
it's more to do with Saban's influence than it is with LSU's intrinsic or inherent traits.
It was Emmert and Skip Bertman's change in philosophy and commitment to winning that changed everything in 2000. Saban's last year was '04. His only contribution to the 2019 championship was the arse whipping he took in his own stadium.
So, you were 0 for 5. Not bad.

LOL
LSU had zero national titles from the whitebread 1950s till Nick Saban arrived and built the program so well that even Les Miles won a title after he left, but it wasn't Saban that was responsible. It was the administration.

Saban was there for 5 years. How did he help us make the title game in 2011 and 2019? Who do you think decided to go after Saban? LSU didn't prioritize winning like that prior to Emmert as president and Skip as AD. Skip knew what it took to win championships then when and got Saban. They then built a championship program together.

What is really going to be funny is when he beats Bama in Tuscaloosa on his way out the door

I don't think these are the same people.
They aren't but OP clearly can't handle equations more complicated than 1+1 so we get this melted cheese fart of a thread.

Obviously there's about to be a disruption in the shrimp supply chain too. That makes people angry.

A 5-point win with the home team kicking an onside kick and a chance to win it in the final minute is not an arse whipping. See 21-0, 29-0 and 55-17 for examples of arse whippings.

What year was Michigan States National title? Was it when Saban was there are after? I don't recall... Surely his brief stay can still be felt...

I think it's time for another campus-wide student Revolt like the one that kept Les around for another year until he lost to Alabama again.

I wonder why all these LSU fans claiming him to be the GOAT coach are so happy that he's gone?
