This is surprising.
I thought Mizzou had a really good basketball history.

Considering our history, I’ll take 7th all day long.

Crazy that the SEC has six schools which have not sniffed a Final Four. Could be Tenner’s year to get there.

Aggy is only good at male cheerleading and marching.
In sports...they are donkey.

Gotta give Vandy a call out:
Vanderbilt won the 1st recorded game of basketball ever involving a college team on February 7th, 1893 when they defeated the Nashville YMCA team 9-6.

Its not just Rick Barnes, its Bruce Pearl and every other decent Tennessee team we've ever had.

These stats are not meaningless but they are meaningless in reality. Back in the day (70s and before) you could have a great team and not even make the NCAA tournament. Only one team from a conference could get in at times.
But, even more telling than that, there was no "seedings" per se. In 1976 Bama got put into a First Two Round bracket of four teams, Bama, Indiana, St. Johns and North Carolina and Indiana was #1, Bama #6 and North Carolina was #8. They did not seed teams back then, that was just their AP ranking. Whoever got through this had to play Marquette the #2 ranked team.
Bama Beat N.C. then lost to Indiana 74-69 but led with under a minute left. Indiana went 32-0 and no other team got within 10 points (well 9, Marquette) most were beat by 20 points or more. So, that Bama team had a slew of future NBA players, but the only reason they did not make the final four was they were no seeds back then.
So, if you git a lucky draw, you might go a long way.
