LSU had a damn good football team in 2019... Alabama had a damn good football team in 2020. Both will have their own places in the record books... We will never know who was best.

The SEC is producing some of the finest football teams to ever play the game.. The path to the National championship is hard in the SEC, but if you can make it to the end you are highly likely to win the national championship

This will definitely stop the trolling and not further it along!

Great thinking

I think the Bama 2020 team was better. Just a more rounded team

They did. They had a damn awful team in 2020, and probably will in 2021 as well. But they will always have 2019

It’s very obvious LSU was the best, but it’s also a dumb argument to continue having. Let’s just appreciate LSU for their monster season in 2019, and appreciate Alabama for their 2020. So for the most part, I agree with you.

someone that has the time needs to compile a resume for each team. all the accomplishments, awards, schedule, wins, strength of competition, stats, draft picks, road environements faced, asterisks, etc. post them back to back and let the facts decide.

And then we get that done, we will get someone to scientifically prove string theory and black holes.

I don't really care. We won in 2020 and we are always forward thinking. Natties are just in our blood. That's all I care about. The team was GOAT and we have moved on to 2021 while many remain in 2019. Let them debate that one year.

I agree with the OP in a lot, mostly in that saying who would win a one on one is completely subjective. Safe to say either could. Statistically, especially on Offense both lit it up pretty impressively.

The only comparison that makes some sense is how each team did in that particular season vs the competition it faced that season. Both are impressive but judge for yourself.

Wins vs AP ranked teams (according to final poll)
2019 LSU: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 14, 25
2020 Bama: 2, 4, 5, 7, 13

It's impressive in both cases only one of the wins was a true home game.

You can argue facing full stadiums in 2019 was harder, but Bama did play an all-conference schedule which can't be overlooked either.

At the end slight edge to LSU for have 7 wins vs final top 25 wins Vs 5 for Bama (Still very good).

Imo, this settles it. Facts are stubborn things.

LSU returns 20 of 22 starters. They will be fantastic next year. You want so badly for them to suck. Ags had a great year and are a real threat. You guys are breaking in a lot of new CE as on offense including QB so spare me with the wishful thinking that LSU won't be good next year. We have actually won more title in the last 20 years than anyone other than Bama.
