except one.

Arch Manning at Texas.

Sark must be doing pretty okay at evaluating the kids, and the parents.

The guy whose family was already loaded from a couple generations worth of NFL wealth?

Shocker.

Considering they Archie has a mansion on St Charles Ave and sent ALL of his kids to Newman, I’d say he’s doing alright.

This is dumb. Cooper is Arch’s dad. He didn’t play in the NFL. Both of his uncles did and his grandfather but how does that translate to him staying when others didn’t. Also he is being paid to play. He isn’t playing out of the kindness of his heart. But truthfully he chose Texas more than Texas recruiting him with money. Peyton has Tennessee legacy. Eli and Archie have Ole Miss legacy. Arch stood only to lose by comparison at Ole Miss. He really likes Texas and is there for the chance to lead that program.

Rebeloke is spot on.

Truth is he chose Texas and Coach Sarkisian with the understanding that he wouldn't be seeing the field his first year. He didn't take any NIL money until recently. Family, and Arch himself, wanted to experience normal college life, as much as could be for Arch.

Absolutely to below.

The smart, high achievers in Louisiana all get the heck out of that state. If they can get in, they attend Texas. Kids see this at a young age:

Ah yes the guy who held out of a video game unless he got extra money is playing at Texas because he loves the school not because they were the highest bidder.

I’m sure.

I don't think it has anything to do with Sark evaluating kids. He did a good job convincing the Manning family Texas was the right place to be. Arch was always going to stay wherever he committed to imo barring him not winning the job eventually

Yeah, but he still has his own television show on Fox Sports and is the managing director of a private real estate company.

Weird how Texas fans brag about their school’s wealth all the time, but when actual evidence of that wealth being used to keep a QB it’s suddenly only a matter of school pride.

Archie Manning, the New Orleans quarterback, was the league's top-salaried player in 1981, earning $600,000. Walter Payton, the Chicago Bears' running back, was No.2 at $500,000.-NYT

This is about 2.11 million today.

However, players of that era like Archie made significant endorsement money and people were falling all over themselves to introduce top players to investment opportunities . Sometimes for the good and sometimes not.

It means that his son probably doesn’t care about getting extra NIL money from schools like Ohio State or USC.
