That pretty much tells you who Saban wants as his replacement. I doubt any school will be looking for a new coach this year, so giving him a big raise is just setting up the transition.

The raise was agreed to in February after he had discussions with Mississippi State and Colorado. Might not have offered so much if they predicted what was coming in March .

Bama can throw around 52% pay increases like they are nothing, but there's no money for the Players, not only that, there's no way that we can figure out how to do it because of "T9", the ready made catch all excuse
Since Title IX also governs Coaching personnel I wonder did any Women's Assts get an $850K raise, hmmmm silence, no one is screaming, "what about Title-IX" , it seems like that crutch is only used when the Players want more Money
