And he got raped by Devonta Smith for 150+ yards and almost cost LSU the Alabama game

What does that have to do with not having experience?

Had he not started 8 games at linebacker?

No one was bitching much about him before LSU.

Many Bammers predicted at least a 14 point win.

almost

Let’s ignore that half of that was from a garbage time TD in a double digit game with under two minutes to play.

(And the other half was on a play that he was looking to the sideline for a call)

But a solid moral victory nonetheless!

This seems pretty tone deaf to the horrid reality of millions of lives being turned upside down

I believe these were agreed upon in February (so pre-COVID), and BOT only officially approved today.

LSU fan having to make fake arse garbage time excuses because he can't deal with his DB getting burned all game.

Based on the results, I think it might have merit.

That pretty much tells you who Saban wants as his replacement. I doubt any school will be looking for a new coach this year, so giving him a big raise is just setting up the transition.

The raise was agreed to in February after he had discussions with Mississippi State and Colorado. Might not have offered so much if they predicted what was coming in March .

Inb4 that GT genius

Wrong comment, what you should've asked was how can there be 75 pages of Comments & replies spread out over 3 different topics and all of them (except for mines and maybe 3 other posters) have claimed that P5 Programs are barely break-even and that money is so tight, and then a mere 3 days later a guy making $1.6 million doesn't get a 10% raise which is great in this Economy, nor does he get a 25% raise that is off the charts in this Economy, nope a guy with Booze issues in the past gets a friggin' 52% pay raise

Bama can throw around 52% pay increases like they are nothing, but there's no money for the Players, not only that, there's no way that we can figure out how to do it because of "T9", the ready made catch all excuse

Since Title IX also governs Coaching personnel I wonder did any Women's Assts get an $850K raise, hmmmm silence, no one is screaming, "what about Title-IX" , it seems like that crutch is only used when the Players want more Money

That's the hypocritical bullshite you should have rushed to get in before!
