Alabama’s offensive coordinator got a healthy raise after receiving interest for head coaching jobs.

Steve Sarkisian’s new contract was among those approved by the UA board of trustees in a special meeting called Wednesday. The former USC and Washington head coach will now make $2.5 million a year.

Sarkisian made $1.65 million in his first year back as the Alabama offensive coordinator. He then received interest in head coaching jobs at places like Colorado and Mississippi State, leading to a renegotiated deal in Tuscaloosa.

Defensive coordinator Pete Golding also got a small raise to $1.25 million from $1.1 million.

Because contrary to popular belief, he did a pretty good job given what he had to work with.

4 and 5 star recruits? What did he have to work with that was so bad?

Not many defensive coordinators in the country have to deal with the kind of insurmountable adversity of his 4* or 5* player being replaced with another 4* or 5* player.

He deserves more than the raise he got!

Starting 4 or 5 freshmen in the front 7 alone? It’s nearly impossible to have an elite defense when your signal caller is a true freshman.

When we are talking about bad, we are talking about compared to the normal Alabama defense. Alabama still finished 3rd in the SP+ for defense etc.

If you don't know the answer to your question, then you probably didn't watch many Alabama games. The next time you do, I'll give you a hint - watch the ILBs.

The majority of the front 7 were freshman, and there was no depth.

Then adjust and have an experienced player on the field call it.

There are many in congress that have supported BLM organization. That is worst! What you are laughing about is peanuts to congress supporting BLM and funding their action all accross America!

Yet people will wonder why ticket prices continue to increase.
