Is bama going from a bad OC to a good one? Is Bama going from a QB with a weak arm to one who can throw a deep ball? If the answer to both of those questions are yes, then I agree Bama will be improved on offense as well.

Bama has the same OC who's averaged about 45 PPG over the last two seasons, and yes Mac has a bigger arm than Tua.

ETA: They're also returning a stud RB and better receivers than UGA.

What? Have you ever seen Waddle play football?

Wait, of course you have.

He dominated UGA in the 2018 SECCG.

it was just my snarky, sarcastic reply to the LSU guy saying that the conference Newman is coming from is bad, so he is going to be bad.

Not a dog in the fight opinion. New offense with a new QB who isn’t use to playing but one good defense a year and didn’t do well against them? Yeah don’t bet your mortgage.

Did you miss this part?
"Another thing you aren't getting is that UGA has more room to improve on offense. Before Tua went down Bama's offense was the best in the NCAA. If you think Mac can do better than that then let's end the conversation now.

This should be an early season rout for the Tide. 35-7 or so.

Do you even watch UGA games? If you do, you've already seen Waddle put up 113 yards on your D before.

One game doesn't mean much. Fromm dominated Bama in that game and did nothing the following year.

Fromm has proven to be better in a tougher conference. This can't really be disputed.

Having more room to improve means dick. The point of this discussion is who's going to be better, not who's going to be "most improved".

ETA: Also, along these lines, Bamas defense should be much more improved than UGA's. That hasn't kept you from acting like they can't get better.

Well he had 230 yards and 4 TDs against Auburn this year so I dunno maybe he's ok.

lol, you hope, because an UGA win virtually assures another SEC East championship for us. Floriduh's hope rests on Saban's tiny, short shoulders.

What Alabama actually lost with Jeudy and Ruggs was having 4 elite WRs instead of 2. Their receivers will still be very good but easier to manage as matchups than the last two years, imo.

I'm assuming this same logic applies to UGA, right? They're losing a 1st round QB, 1st round RB and several OL who will be drafted.

lol what? I said UGA's offense should be improved and you got pee pants about it. This whole conversation started because you didn't think UGA's offense would improve and Bama's take a step back. The same concept applies for Bama's defense being more improved than UGA's. UGA's defense doesn't have much room to grow, while Bama's was awful at times last year.

Right, and if it was just one game, then you'd have a point.

*1/2 of that game.

and your argument is that Waddle could all of a sudden start sucking...because it has happened to other players in the past? okay.

Sure

I think UGA is basically a complete unknown offensively heading into next season.

My point is that Burrow couldn't win the job in a conference that is worse than the ACC, yet look what he achieved.

Maybe, Newman will squeeze out a good year with all the talent UGA has around him. just, maybe

He still has to win the job from Beck, Mathis and Bennett. And, if that Clemson kid decides to sign.
