counting is hard. Bama outhit LSU in exactly 1 game out of 3.

I called Birmingham and told them LSU would like to award all 3 games to Alabama in that they out hit us in 2 games and tied in 1. They said only an inbred idiot would think that has anything to do with the outcome of a game. So sorry I toldthem this was the Gump theory of baseball scoring and they laughed.

LSU never hit in the 9th. That is three innings worth of hits missed out on.

The mistake was made in thinking that there were real baseball aficionados in the LSU camp that would rightfully appreciate an unusual stat like that...I won't make THAT mistake again!
PS- LSU was outhit in all 3 games.

Alabama played a great series.
The difference in the outcome was this; when Bama hit a HR, it was usually a solo shot. When LSU hit it out, there were usually 2 or 3 runners on base. ( And there were lots of HR's.)
The outcome could have very easily been the other way around.
Alabama put up a good fight, and it was an enjoyable series for the winning team.
That said, Alabama is no where near close to being a good as LSU this year. But good luck on the rest of your season.
