I have never seen so many rival and want to be rival fans so concerned that Alabama may make it in. Not sure why as we do not have a great team this year. The talent is there but execution is lacking especially from the play callers on the sidelines. In all honesty you would think especially UGA fans would want to play us this year so not sure why the fear of a possibility.

And FTR a lot of predictions for Tuesday poll has UA dropping to #9.

Explaining the illogic of thinking you have a good shot is different than concern that you might get in. Fans of various teams (including Bama fans) were doing the same to UT fans the past couple of weeks. You're confusing yourself here.

Has a team ever won the National Championship without winning its conference division ?

I troll Bama just to mess with them. But Bama isn’t going anywhere. They won’t make the playoffs this year but they will be a contender every year.

With Golding and BoB, Bama would be totally embarrassed in the playoff. Be careful what you wish for.

If you people actually believed that you wouldn't be so scared and adamant Alabama shouldn't make it.

The fear on this board is palpable

The best thing would be Alabama making it and Bill O'Brien leaving for some other job right after Auburn.

This forum would melt in fear and anguish

So what if they do? Doesn’t change LSU’s path to the playoffs. They have to beat A&M and UGA to get in. They beat #1 UGA, they go, no matter how improbable.

Not sure if joking. But if not...then yes, literally the team you were responding to.
2011 Alabama didn't even MAKE it to the SEC CCG, but then won the Natty.

We looked like dog crap yesterday against Austin Peay - I don’t want to reward this years Bama team when they haven’t earned it.

We have the weirdest fans.

You are no one. They don't need any reward from you

It really is bizarre. I think a lot of Bama fans try to emulate Saban in their daily lives and forget that they are (at best) minimally involved with the program by just watching it every Saturday.

No way Bama finishes any higher than 5th and that’s with all kinds of shenanigans happening

Alabama has pretty much 0 chance to make the playoff.

USC would have to lose to ND.
TCU would have to lose to Iowa State and K State
Clemson would need to lose to one of the Carolinas.
Georgia has to beat LSU.

Georgia, Ohio State, and Michigan are in then Alabama would have to be taken over 11-2 10-2 10-3 teams that either won a conference or beat them head to head

Alabama beat case scenario would have 2 back end top 25 wins end of season with 9-3 Ole Miss and 8-4 Texas. They may ultimately have 0

Tell us with all your great knowledge of football, what is Bama's best win this season?

Easy, Auburn. Just kidding. We may be a spoiled bunch but that doesn't mean we are ignorant about football. We've been on all sides of this over the years and this year is different. We don't have a great team who slipped up one week during the season and are ready to put it all together. We also aren't interested in being a team with no chance of winning it all but who wants a participation trophy for being in the playoffs. This team has serious flaws that need to be fixed after the season ends, players and coaches.

To my fellow Bama fans. It’s over! Now get a life outside of Crimson Tide football.

Lets not forget 2017 as we lost to AU who suffered a loss to UGA in the CCG and Alabama not only got into the playoffs but won the NC.

Bama would be the 4 seed in an SEC only playoff, so yeah, add in the other conferences and that means zero chance they make it. Even with every team ahead of them losing it wouldn’t matter.

It's not a 0% chance and UT losing keeps a small pathway open.

Those two last second wins by TCU and Michigan and USC coming back really put a crimp in it as they keep some 1 loss alternatives in the mix. An absolute beat down in the UM/OSU has to happen.

Scenario now is USC loses to ND or PC 12CG(realistic), LSU loses to TAm or SECCG(realistic), TCU loses (realistic), OSU-UM is a blowout UM loss (realistic), and Clemson loses (realistic). All that happens and Alabama could plausibly sneak in at #4 seed behind UGA, OSU, and ?.

Yeah, if those games had have flipped then we could at least have the conversation, but alas, they did not. We are not going to the playoffs.

But the Bama fans saying "wahh I wouldn't even want to make the playoffs" and "I'm glad we didn't make the SECCG because we'd be embarrassed by UGA" are the biggest vaginas on this here planet earth.
