I don't see any best wins....only nine of them! They lost two games on the road by 3, and 1 point on the last play of the game in both of them to top-10 opponents.
Again, you reading comprehension needs work. I don't think that they have a chance of making the playoff, but I feel good about the fact that so many fans of other schools have such respect for The Tide, that they'd still discuss such a scenario.
It proves that all those arse-whippings have definitely left a scar!

Not about what this does with the playoffs, just that Bama get credit for not impressive seasons. Go look at the 2017 season and see how they made the playoff. What was their most impressive regular season will that year and how they made the CFP when they did play in the SECCG?

As a Bama fan, we need to beat AU and go quietly into the night to fix our issues. We are not worthy of playoffs this year.

This!
Things have happened in the past to get us there. Not this year. We need to fix our own problems and come back stronger next year. We lost 2 games in the last minutes by 4 points it is what it is.

Oregon beats Southern Cal in the PAC 12 championship game

Very possible Oregon St. beats OU next week...in which case Utah goes...who already beat USC.
Also, good chance Clemson/UNC-beating Notre Dame shows up against USC next week as well.

I don't feel for that crew at all the way this season has played out, but I also don't wish to see their total demise right away like many do.

With the expanded playoff on the horizon, I would like to see them just get into the playoff only to be beaten soundly in the first round kinda Oklahoma style just until it didn't make me chuckle a little bit.

Again, go back and READ the OP of this thread!
It's ALL about what it does with the playoffs!
You're so obsessed with Alabama that your mind can't/won't even process the subject of the thread.
If you want to go back and rehash past years and playoffs, FINE...start your own thread, but this thread is about current scenarios involving THIS playoff!

I started a Bama in 1966, after Vietnam graduated in 1975. I've seen enough football to know a championship-quality team and this is not one of them. We could of, should of lost two other games and yes, per our standard, this is embarrassing

You will not answer my question. Very simple question. Give it try for this year and 2017.

We looked like dog crap yesterday against Austin Peay - I don’t want to reward this years Bama team when they haven’t earned it.

We're apparently the same age, but I'm surprised that someone who should remember the "Ears" Whitworth years and some others going forward, would use the word "embarrassing" to describe a probable 11-2 year as such...but that's just me.
Would the word disappointing better to describe it?

Look, if the Committee wants to place the BEST four teams in the Playoffs, don't they HAVE TO put Bama in there?

In what universe is Alabama NOT one of the Top Four teams in college football?

Right, Bama Fans?

RIGHT??!!??

I DID answer your question. I don't recognize any of this year's wins as major. How can I be more specific?
As far as 2017 is concerned, I don't remember the circumstances that led Alabama to the playoffs, only that they beat Georgia to win the playoff.
As I said, if you want to start a thread about it, knock yourself out!....but this thread already has a subject...stick to it!

They're a GREAT football team by 95% of the other schools' standards, but not Alabama's, and there are probably four teams "better" than them this year. I use the word "probably" because history has proven that teams from some areas of the country aren't generally the quality of teams found in the Southeast, so...
