Alabama could ***possibly*** be getting two of its injured linebackers back for the IB

Terrell Lewis and Christian Miller, two of our best pass rushers, were injured during the Florida State game at the first of the year. There has been rampant speculation for the last several weeks that one or both of them could be back before the end of November. Here is what Saban had to say today:

“Terrell Lewis and Christian Miller are in the what they call ‘the functional phase of rehab,’ but not really medically cleared to play,” Saban said. “So, as they go through this continued work on the field and so forth, at some point in time I guess they’ll get medically cleared.

“But as I’ve always said before, that’s a medical decision that our medical staff will make when the time comes, when they feel like they’re able to get back out there and may be able to play.”

Obviously he didn't give a timeline as to when they will be back, but insiders on Bama message boards have been confident that one or both of them could be cleared to play for the Iron Bowl, with both of them back for the SEC Championship Game (should Alabama win the West).

EDIT: Insiders are also claiming that Saban got good news on inside linebacker Mack Wilson. He may also be ready to play in the Iron Bowl.
