Right now, during recruiting visits.
During the season, they’ll use it for lighting effects And to dim the lights pregame and during the 4th qtr intermission

Now replace the halftime marching band show with a rave.

The Cardinals just installed it and have a pretty good video.
The new Dudy Noble has the same thing.
What the op is posting is LED color changing though.

LSU has had this for a while. Not the main lights though

Tacky
Reminds me of something ULL would do or like the baseball lights at MSU baseball stadium.

So what do you think about the stadium a couple of posts up? You know, the purple and gold one?

The red after a score would be a nice effect.

Yeah, the color integration is a first. I don't know of anyone else who has this.

I can’t wait until Texas A&M follows this up with rainbow colored LED lights.
You haven't seen our tower lasers?

The video that was posted said they can adjust the colors to make it better for TV.
This is correct. It will provide a clearer picture on tv and is compatible with HD.
In person it will mimic more like natural light and will be a noticeable difference in person.
It won't have that hospital-like fluorescent appearance like most stadium lights.

I've seen UGA pics a couple of times in this thread.
That's just the ribbon boards with the stadium lights off, not the actual stadium lights.
UGA was getting the LED lights but not sure if it has the color-changing capabilities. Some stadiums have LED without them: Seahawks, Cardinals, Ole Miss, Colorado State.

The technology is quite affordable these days. We're putting them on my son's pinewood derby car next year.

I think UGA is going to install those changing lights too. You’re right those are just those ribbons but they are really bright. The new ones I have seen will be able to be synchronized. And they’re looking to do something to make our 4th Quarter Krypton Tradition even better.
Can’t remember when we started doing the lights, it’s been within the last 3-4 years I think. but it sure looks cool.

As a photographer though, COLOR CHANGING LEDS SUCKS DONKEY BALLS. Even the advertising ribbon stripe between the bowl and the first upper deck at BDS would cause serious color changes when taking photos. And the timing and saturation was just unpredictable. It is really is disheartening to get a great shot and have everything in the frame tinted blue. And not, it is NOT that easy to color correct hundreds of shots in post production.
Let me give a real world example. One of the HS basketball teams I shoot often has a gym with high bay HID/vapor lights. These literally cycle through color changes with the line voltage frequency - that is 60 times a second. The human eye normally never notices this, but my camera does... I might shoot a burst sequence that is tinted pink-white-tinted green-tinted pink-tinted green-white-tinted pink. This incredibly hard to correct in post processing especially if you shoot straight JPG due to volume. I had the thought I would try to shoot RAW for one Alabama game. I ended up getting a fraction of the photos I normally got with a 5x post game processing time. That's not really a good option for most photographers.
Please. Just have a neutral color (white or gray) somewhere in the shot, and PS will automatically do the color correction for you. You're not publishing hundreds of shots for publication, not even dozens. You're just whining.
It's literally one click in ACR.
Memory cards are dreadfully cheap. These days, there's no reason NOT to shoot RAW + JPG.
