Either 2015 or 2016 Alabama saw opponents’ OLs called for zero holds all season, if I’m not mistaken.
Not sure about that, but the 2015 teams opponents had a combined 162-50 record and the 2009 team played 6 games vs teams that had byes the week before.

2016’s Bama’s opponents had 3 combined holding calls while playing Bama. 15 teams had 3 total holdings
Even the bad teams got little to no holding calls while playing Bama’s top ranked front 7

Sometimes yall acknowledge Nick Saban was the GOAT and won 7 titles
I fully acknowledge 6. 2020 was not a legitimate championship IMHO

think the 2020 “title” was the fraudulent one. However, if McCoy played the whole game I do think Texas wins 2009.
Kinda like if Tua was 100%, Bama wins the 2019 matchup easily.
After all, he had an uncharacteristically sluggish start due to missing weeks of action. Once he shook the rust off late in the 2nd, he balled out, out performed Burrow in basically one half and clearly would have won if he hadn't missed so much time leading up to it which is why he was so rusty to start the game.
It's sad. LSU's 2019 title will forever be tainted.

Yep. Other teams don't realize Bama Was everyone's SUPERBOWL.
They planed all year to beat us.
It's crazy how worse it could have been.
You think tOSU would have had their conference treat them that way? other than Michigan?

Tua only missed one game before losing to LSU. In 2009 the best quarterback in the country went out on the fifth play of the game. I don’t think that’s quite the same. I do think Texas wins - but it’s just an opinion

OMG youre still melting? Jesus....
I never realized a throwaway line about a great 8 and a half game stretch from a talented veteran offensive line with a legendary coaching staff by Brent was the moment that convinced LSU fans that Alabama has never been called for holding in human history
The more you know

nebraska ran a power based triple option. hard to get called for holding when you never drop back
They dropped back to pass 214+ times in 1995..

You are spot on. We had a state built on 7 on 7 football and spread offenses and mack pivoted instantly after that game to power football, made zero sense and it doomed us

Just because LSU is a gutless, heartless organization and used any excuse to lay down like dogs doesn't mean other teams did.

Carpenter was the only guy on that 2009 OL that got shite done in the NFL. its preposterous to think that this OL unit was some all world beating inpenetrable wall that no SEC defense could get through.
its all manufactured. bammer fans are clearly rattled by this because they know its damn true
Cool story, captain chromsomes.
Now you'll have to explain why none of Alabama's SEC opponents were called for holding in the entire 2015 season, despite having the nation's best defensive line with 3 first-round draft picks as starters.
You'll also have to explain why for well over a decade, Alabama is consistently one of the most penalized teams in the country while their opponents are consistently among the least penalized.
"But Brent Musburger said they went 30+ quarters without drawing a holding flag so I'll cherry pick that without even verifying it muhself."

Having surgery and missing about 2 weeks of practice couldn’t have hurt at all. Not even an inconvenience.

I’ve seen a lot of people melting on this forum, but I don’t think I’ve seen a melt that lasts for 17 years. I’ve got to admit that this is impressive. I’m a huge Bama fan, but I honestly haven’t thought about that 2009 season for quite awhile. We do appreciate your interest in our fine program though
