But it's a whole different culture now than when Bryant was coaching. That's just an observation and not a judgement of good or bad, but if I had to choose, I'd think it is sometimes good to take a kid that has made questionable decisions in his young life, or has less than desirable character. A good coach like Saban can often change that kid's life, and help him become a good and responsible man. Some of those kids you can connect with. Some perhaps not.

So help us out Chromatiic, what team rules did the kid break?

None. That was a bullshite excuse that Saban used to justify his personal beef with him.
Agiye clearly didn't even know he had been removed from the roster, even going as far as to call the story BS. Then when Saban came out talking about "violation of team rules" Agiye responded with a laughing emoji.

This is what Trey Sanders had to say about Agiye:
“But at the end of the day, I know Agiye is the person that he’s a hard worker,” Sanders said. “He’s a great kid overall. I wish him the best.”

Doesn't exactly sound like a lazy, whiny, team cancer does he?
Did Agiye ever get arrested? No. Many of our players over the years HAVE gotten arrested. Mac Jones got a DUI. Oh, but Agiye has horrible character?

Furthermore, with all of the shite-talking about Agiye Hall, he played in ONE HALF OF A GAME all fricking season, and guess what? He finished with more receiving yards in the game than Jacorey Brooks, Traeshon Holden, and Slade Bolden who had all played all season long, and played for the whole game.
Agiye comes in and in limited action racked up more yards than all of the receivers who Saban had put ahead of him all year.
So you can bitch about "the drop" all you want. To blame a kid who had been screwed over all year long, and treated like shite, who was the second leading WR in the title game for the loss is absolutely ridiculous.

This post pretty much sums up the problem with Hall. Blaming everyone but himself for things that happen.

Tell the players he was naming on social media because they were starting and he wasn't that he wasn't a cancer.

As for his performance in the NCG, he had 2 catches total and pulled in less than 50% of his targets.

Good luck at your next school and being the first player with attitude problems that doesn't end up washed out. I suggest you get the most of your education or get some maturity(hint, taking anything that happens to you personal and claiming it's because people hate you, rather than examining your own role is not maturity).

I mean, this is pretty irrefutable for everyone wanting to shite on his ability
Maybe if Saban had given him the playing time and reps that he deserved all season long, he not only wouldn't have dropped a key pass in the title game, maybe he becomes the reason we win it.

There is no reason to assume anything. The reason Alabama fans know so much about Hall is because Hall has spent the past year constantly complaining on twitter.

He was a true freshman who named other players on twitter for starting ahead of him. That is all anyone needs to see to know the kid was a cancer.

The hope was he would mature, but that apparently didn't happen.

He had a total of 5 more total yards than Brooks. Brooks caught 6 passes.

Holden caught 6, Bolden caught 7. Less yards...because they were playing their roles.

That's what you and apparently Hall are too dumb to understand - players have roles on the team and 1 stat certainly doesn't mean you had a better game than the others.

I hope you know you aren't helping your case at all, quite the opposite.

There's no question that he was immature - most teenagers are.

I think once he realized that Saban was going to play Slade Bolden and Holden over him, no matter how much better he was, he got pretty annoyed.
He didn't handle it well, but like I said, a lot of Alabama legends would've hit the portal if the rules were then what they are now. Tua - gone. Derrick Henry - definitely gone. Najee - gone. These are all guys who were extremely close to transferring despite having to sit a year.

Young, talented dudes who aren't given what they deserve, and then want to leave is not a new phenomenon at Alabama. The only difference is Agiye voiced his frustrations publicly.

At the end of the day, I blame Saban for once again employing the unwritten "once a starter, always a starter" rule, and keeping the younger talent off the field. I blame Agiye for creating a public distraction.

Both of them are wrong, but Saban's biggest weakness is that he wastes young talent. Look what he did with Jaylen Waddle - only started half a season in 3 years. Look what he did with Josh Jacobs - never started. Look what he did with Derrick Henry - started one season.

I mean the list goes on, and with the new transfer rules, Saban needs to adapt, or risk losing a lot more young superstars.

Again, you're comparing a guy who didn't get a single first team rep all season to guys who did all season long.
You're comparing guys who played the whole game, to a guy who was put in at the 11th hour, and was depended on to win the game since our other WRs sucked.

Bolden and Holden were better players is why they started over him. There is more to the position than catching passes. Just like with Derek Henry, there was more he had to learn than just running the ball.

You have to be a team player, you have to block, you have to do your job on every play, even if it's just a distraction or run play. And if you don't, then you aren't the better player.

Henry played quite a bit as a true freshman and a sophomore even though he didn't start. He had to learn how to block.

Tua was never really going to transfer, that whole story was just some crap he said trying to motivate other kids. He won the NC as a true freshman.

And then you mention players like Waddle, who was behind multiple 1st round picks. Are you suggesting he should have been starting over the other 1st round picks?

And I'm not sure why you are talking about Jacobs either. The guy played in 40 games for Alabama over his 3 year career, and then was drafted in the 1st round. He only missed a few games his sophomore year because he had a broken ankle.

There have been a total of 2 guys I can think of who transferred and had success after. Alvin Kamara, who was just stuck behind too much talent, and Ford who transferred for the same reason. Not sure if he will end up in the NFL, but he went to a decent team and had success, so I'm going to count him.

You mean like Devonta Smith who caught the game winning TD against Georgia to win the NC?

He's a WR, what exactly do you think he was missing out on?

The point is tua was gone if uga didn’t dominate hurts enough for saban to be desperate enough to finally give tua a shot in the final game.

So your take is Saban would rather lose games with lesser players rather than play the best players? Or is it more likely Hall wasn’t going to classes, showed up late to team meetings, missed practices and then bitched and moaned about it in social media. Or perhaps what you’re saying is it doesn’t matter that he did all those things he is special enough it should have been overlooked. Btw unless I’m mistaken Slade plays slot, Hall was behind Williams and Jameson. Which of those should have sat the bench?

I don't think so. His dad wouldn't have let him.

And I remember hearing the story and it sounded like he was just trying to motivate kids not to give up in the face of adversity.
