Biggest contrast I have ever seen was going to the TAMU games against Nebraska and texas in consecutive weeks. While I know it sounds biased, A&M's 90k was a frenzy, while 100k at dKKKr wasn't even a factor (both were close games, too).

Same. Was sitting underneath Godzillatron in the tu student section next to the band. I could swear the loudest that stadium got was when Cyrus Gray broke his monster runs.

CyFy is STILL running, as a matter of fact

I was in the Aggie section directly to your right losing my shite.

ETA: As a live spectator, I have to say my favorite stretch of Aggie football was the 2010 run from OU, to Baylor, to Nebraska, to t.u.

Another idiot arrested .

Just saw this story from last night ( A&M Student Caught Trying to Jump Fence at Kyle Field Arrested) and immediately thought of Daowna's quote from earlier in this thread:
quote:

It's actually gotten pretty bad with people trying to sneak on the field during construction. It started when some old ags bought some construction helmets/jackets and walked onto the field in the middle of the day during construction, and then posted it on youtube.

Since then a warning went out that anyone who trespassed onto the construction site would be arrested/prosecuted.. and many have done just that and have been arrested. Starting with these 5 (4 tu studens and an ag) LINK.

My question is, why?

I mean why are people risking arrest to get on the Kyle Field construction site? I don't think I've heard of anyone at LSU doing that, even last year when essentially the whole stadium was fenced off.

Erector set stadium construction is so lame. Arkansas' football stadium in Fayetteville and War Memorial in Little Rock is an erector set and both are lame.

So, you've never been to Razorback Stadium

Kyle Field and Tiger Stadium each have really cool and long histories, I think each stadium dating back nearly 100 years. It's cool to see pictures through the years and see how they progressed.

Really hoping the new visitor's section will be better than the old one, 'cause that sucked. No offense.
None taken. That was a byproduct of a chain of passive aggressive moves by the folks in Austin and A&M--they once gave each other tickets on the 50 yard line, and gradually pushed them down to the very ends of the lower deck grandstand, well behind the back line of the endzone (both stadiums were horseshoe shaped around tracks, with the stands on the south end continuing along the straightaway well pass the end of the football playing field).

Those old seats in the first deck are gone. With a change in SEC rules, visitors will have 2000 seats in the lower deck, and they'll all be better than the 1500 we had for visitors in the lower deck in the old configuration. The rest of the visitors section will probably still be at the top of the north endzone or south endzone (or perhaps both).

My guess is that they think they can bury some type of keepsake so they cans say they got one over on the admin; that they buried ________ under where they think the 50 yard line might be.

but not when you get arrested for being a dumbass.

EKG, Jobu93, don't take that personally. MOST of us LSU fans like your new stadium very much!

Ha!
No big deal at all.
He's entitled to his opinion--and he seems to feel strongly about it.
The demonstrative nature of the comment made me chuckle.
