How in the hell (sorry for language Tim) is his jersey not retired at Florida? They should have 3 at least and everyone knows who they are

I actually like the fact that Florida and Florida State don't retire players numbers.
The f'ing roster already has players with the same number playing as it is no need to exacerbate the problem.
NFL meanwhile what is the roster limit I think it's in the 50s but hopefully a franchise doesn't retire 40+ numbers

I prefer putting a player's name in a ring of honor or similar to retiring a number.

Florida doesn't retire numbers. In fact, Spurrier unretired his number 11 when he became coach.

That would be like Bama retiring 12. You simply can’t retire it. Bear Bryant actually started the tradition because he wore 12 at the end of his career when he played at Alabama.

I know Florida thinks football started in the 90s but you should learn more about previous eras if you want to insert yourself into discussions about them

Heck, I would just like to see one of each number on the roster. The duplicate numbers are stupid and not necessary.

I agree with FL on this.
Numbers should not get retired unless there are some really crazy circumstances.
I don't think 34 should be retired from UGA, but anyone with the bawlz to wear it better make it proud (no Defensive player should ever be allowed to wear it.)
