I think Bama fans have to feel better for a couple reasons. First, it looks like we have a starting QB and he may not have looked great but I think he has looked good. Second, the defense looks as good as advertised and that means we should at least be in position to win every game this year.

good question - probably worse. Lack of sommeone stepping up to run the ball in Knile's abscence is very frustrating. Child's slow return also disconcerting. Defense looks markedly better and special teams have been very good.

So much will be learned in Tuscaloosa, but if you put a gun to my head I would say, given what i've seen thus far, that we will lose 2 maybe 3 - as most non Hog fans suggested.

Better. As much as you can feel better after wins over James Madison and Rutgers. But that's 2-0 which is a better start than last year (0-2).

I feel good with the fact that my beloved Gamecocks have shown resolve not seen in previous years. We were in deficits in both of our games and quite frankly our opponents had complete control of the game. Yet we kept playing and kept scoring when we had to and came out with 2 wins.

I also am glad to see we got rid of that 2 QB system (for now anyway)

I am however deeply concerned about our secondary.

I feel better, but am waiting for the bottom to fall out. I don't want to get too excited until I see Florida play a team with a pulse.

Same here. Cautiously optimistic.

If Auburn goes 9-3 and only lose to the teams you mentioned, I'll wrestle a bear. Grow up Peter Pan.

Worse. I thought we would dominate ECU and beat UGA by more than 3, but we can't stop the pass or pass the ball ourselves.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the season, but realize the schedule is a biotch, and we will likely lose a few.
