Marshall would be great for USCe -- I knwe him well when he was at Winthrop -- was a member of his Tip Off Club there -- an offshoot of the Eagle Club. We were basketball-specific and helped him with promotions and getting a holiday invitational tournament started when he was there... He's driven, and a darn good coach. Good recruiter... loves the kids but has high expectations for them, which is good.

I guarantee we have our share of the b-s-c types you noted, but they more likely than not tend to be our "Wal-Mart" fans, if you know what I mean (bandwagon hoppers with no actual connection to the school). :lol:

LFed said at his introductory news conference that he's known Mack for a long time and whenever he'd go out to that area he'd call Mack and go by and talk to him about football and coaching. Sounds like he sees Mack as a mentor of sorts.
