Woulda been +20 million if a SEC team made the national championship game
If they let Alabama in the playoffs, we would have been in the championship game. Alabama has proven to be able to actually win playoff games, unlike other teams.

Good jab, but they actually shored it up. What would it have been without the revenue they generated?
No SEC team in the finals was a major factor, along with fan displeasure of the direction of the sport. Plus, some big revenue programs having down years. I also wonder how NIL Collective donations might be negatively impacting reported athletic revenue numbers.
Yep, revenue would have dropped even more if Oklahoma and Texass hadn't been added. Adding them was obviously a good thing if money is what you care about most in life.

It's going to feel like you're back in the Big 12, very soon, Missouri.
No way the B12 would even consider allowing Missouri back.
The Tigers only got into the sec by hanging to the tail coats of aggies who only gained entrance by promising Texas would follow.
Not to forget Missouri left the B12 shouting about joining the Big10......
Only the B10 said no no no little one, we don't want you.

This is all about the shine wearing off of NIL and the Portal, etc..
It's all people talk about when discussing CFB. I love how greed always leads to eating one's own self.
But since it's here, there will be exploration of ways to create bigger slices of pie. And I can tell you - there is NO TEAM(s) this SEC could add that would create bigger slices than just simply whacking Vandy and one other.

The contracts were already baked in....geez...the future contracts will be enormous. Texas and Oklahoma were the best additions and if we hadn't taken them, the B1G would have. You people are so damn clueless I wonder how you function at all.

We sat on the outside for years talking about how they were destroying the Big 12 and predicted it would crumble. Well, it did
What did Texas do to destroy the Big 12, a conference that is very much still alive? Hell I would love for Texas to destroy you hayseeds’ precious conference just to watch our little brother’s stupid face when they have to come with us to the B1G.

Supporting content is so 20th century. It all stops at the accusation now. See Democrats.

Texas destroys every conference they have ever belonged to
You know what is funny about statements like this? In every conference vote that ever occured, on every topic (revenue sharing, retaining tier 3 rights, being able to start your own network) Missouri (and A&M) voted EXACTLY THE SAME as Texas on every single vote. Every time.
Nebraska was the only outlier. They didn't want the Big 12 HQ or title game in Texas.
Don't fall for the crying from Mizzou fans. Their university was perfectly aligned with Texas. They just consistently got their arse kicked by the Longhorns and cry about everything. When you never win titles in anything that matters, it is a lot easier to invent a boogeryman than to hold yourself accountable.

Sorry you have to make shite up to feel relevant. A&M and Mizzou had nothing to do with each other joining SEC. Two totally separate invitations. Matter of fact, A&M turned down the first invitations from the SEC.
DildoU and Chokelahoma joining were a package deal. One could not join without the other. They also had to ask for an invitation to join.
These are facts. Donghorn can try and spin it however they want but these are the facts.

Another dumb arse with a politics-addled mind.
Texass created its own network and demanded unequal revenue distribution. If you're so much better than everyone else, then you should go independent like Notre Dame. Leave everyone else the frick alone.

Big 12 revenue distribution split was voted on by member schools and Texas had a single vote just like everyone else.
And are you claiming Missouri would’ve turned down ESPN’s offer of your own network with a bucket of cash along with it? GTFO

quote:Texas & OU paid a $15 Million application fee and a $12.5 Million transition fee, ($27.5 Million total) to join the SEC.
the old guard runs this conference
Texas and OU, you get $27.5
The rest get $52.6
The SEC fiscal year ended August 31, 2024, before Texas & OU played any game in any sport in the SEC.
The SEC "paid" Texas & OU $27.5 Million, or reimbursed them for the $27.5 Million in "fees" paid in advance.
In total, Texas and OU joined the SEC for $0.
So far, the SEC has been worth every cent we paid for.
Texas' revenue in the SEC Fiscal year 2025, with 8 home games, the only home College Football Playoff game, and the CFP payments, will be noticeably different than the other SEC teams.
