Maybe. Maybe not. I’ve seen enough championship teams the last 16 years to know a lot can change over the next two months.

They reviewed the play. The people reviewing the play are the very same people who decide what is reviewed. You think they just completely ignored if he was down or not?
The real travesty of that play was overturning the roughing the passer call. Was it the wrong call? Yes. Does that mean they can overturn it on review? No.

Enjoy that moral victory given that the actual victory is meaningless in the playoff era. Y'all aint winning shite this year.
I saw a Bama team just last year make just as many stupid mistakes in close games and still win the SEC.

officiating crew was calling even the slightest penalty in this game
Lol... as with almost every Bama game, there should have been way more holding flags. Several big misses in that game.
Didn't have the normal SEC level of completely ignoring Bama fouls, so Bammers hanging their hats on 15, like a badge of courage.

Yeah, but refs tend to look the other way when folks hold Will Anderson so we've gotten used to it.

Be better. It’s not that hard. Pro tip: Read what you write before posting. Think about it for a few seconds. If on reflection it looks lame, excessively offensive or stupid, just delete it. You don’t have to live this way.

Had Young completed that pass lying on top of the defender he would have been handed the Heisman again and the Bama/Young love-fest would have been a press orgy.

He was either down in the same way that Michael Dyer was down in the Auburn Oregon game.

He was down. Should’ve been a safety. Alabama is tainted.

Pro tip: Don’t take things so seriously on this board.

He was 9-12 for 134 yards in the only quarter he played. It’s common sense if his hobbled backup can do what he did he would have lit Alabama up if he remained healthy. You Bama dipshits cant give any other player outside of yalls bandwagon bubble any props. Ewers was playing really well probably the best a QB has played against y’all since Burrow in 2019 before he got hurt

Ummm I dont believe you call it a tipped pass if the Bama qb deliberately throws it off the helmet of the Texas player or are you saying that to avoid an intentional grounding call all the qb has to do is throw the ball off a defensive players helmet or is that just a rule for bama qbs?
You are giving Young a lot of credit if you think he had the presence of mind and body control to deliberately hit a Texas player in the helmet while being dragged to the ground. That is impressive.

Tainted ehh...I guess rolling over a defender means you are down.

You're gonna need an actual pic showing him being down. He may have been down, but clearly still up there.

How's that gonna work if QB is throwing to a receiver behind the line of scrimmage. No screen passes? No tosses to backs behind the LOS?

Wrong image if you are trying to claim he is down, because he doesn't look down in that one.
There is one from another angle that looks like he is down. But it's hardly something that you can really fault the refs on for being missed.
If someone had challenged it, maybe it could have been called, assuming the picture came from one of their cameras.
However, if you want to go that route, the previous play someone from the Texas student section hit an Alabama player in the back of the helmet with a water bottle. Where was the 15 yard penalty for that? Wouldn't have been on our own 4 yard line if that had been called, would have been on the 19, 1st down instead of 3rd down.
And nobody said anything about it, because it wouldn't have been the right call. But the refs literally broke the rules in order to overturn the roughing call.
