Lol A&M is not on the same national level as LSU. Coach O about to win 10 games at LSU proves that.

That doesn't answer the question.

Kevin Sumlin

Hadn’t won an SECW game at home since October 2015. But hey let’s reward a guy for winning easy OOC games, 2 SECE games, and narrowly beating a down Arky team.

What LSU did to Miles was much worse.

The handling of the firing of Miles and the LSU coaching search were both terrible. That can be attributed to Alleva being s throbbing pussy.

Miles was a great ambassador for LSU during his tenure, but our standards are 10 win seasons and he just wasn’t meeting them anymore.

I think it's more like the thought process that they're paying big money now and expecting solid results for that. They don't want the QB recruiting fiascos that have been taking place that to me have been leading to the late season swoons over these last few seasons. That falls on the head coach because somewhere along the way, he is allowing there to be miscommunication of standards and the way he expects things to be (or not...and guys are getting here and realizing he's not what he presents on the recruiting trail). Either way, you don't want that guy with wishy washy leadership skills over your program.

It wasn’t too long ago where a season like he had, 8-4, was considered a successful season at A&M.

no.

Fleck, who shouldn’t even have gone to Minnesota because his stock was higher than their pedigree is now getting a lot of heat because they’re not world beaters in his first season. If they’d give that guy enough time, he could probably make Minnesota a Wisconsin-like power in the BIG10.

They won 9 games last year and had been to a bowl every year since 2012. PJ came in and gave them their worst record since Jerry Kill's first year there.

Kevin Sumlin had 3 years of 8-5 then followed it up with 7-5. That ain't a success when you play 3 gimmies a year. He was basically .500 vs below avg to great teams. This has nothing to do with Saban or anyone else. It has to do with a standard above mediocrity.
