They'll both play on Sundays, but I'd take Kirk. Having watched all of our games Reynolds has had some really hideous drops.
And Kirk while small is special, a la Ted Ginn or Percy Harvin. He might not ever be a number 1 type of guy but he'll play a long NFL Career.

BTW, what has happened to Speedy Noil? I thought he'd be doing what Kirk is doing this year?
I just don't know about Speedy. Apparently he's injured, so that's why you didn't see him last week. But he hasn't impressed all year, which might be a result of some nagging injury, but I'm inclined to think it's more about passion and effort.
Outside of maybe 5 or 6 spectacular catches, Speedy just hasn't really impressed me since he arrived on campus. He doesn't seem to have a ton of lateral speed or "wiggle." Nor does he seem to have elite acceleration. His route running is less than stellar as well.
He's obviously a tremendous talent, but right now I base that more on his high school career than anything else.
I'm ready to see what this kid can do.

That one handed non-catch that Reynolds made was probably one of the best, most effortless catches I've seen this season. Too bad he couldn't get his feet inbounds.

Both are studs at different positions. Reynolds has freak hands. Basically a taller OBJ.
Kirk is just a freak in space and has some of the best vision I've seen. In the open field, he's a nightmare to get the right angle on and tackle. From a pure NFL draft standpoint, I'd say a tall, fast wideout with flypaper hands would be taken first.
In regards to Speedy....he is hobbled by a hamstring injury however rumors have also been floating around that he does not take well to constructive criticism and is letting his ego get in the way of coaching. If you watch him, he barely runs his routes, he just kind of runs out gets open and makes a freak grab over a DB. Who knows how true that rumor is but it's not for any team violation that's for sure. He isn't suspended as he caught a TD just last week or so. We are all hoping he gets better soon, and if the rumors are true, I hope he realizes that if he becomes a student of the game, with his talent he has as much potential as either Kirk or Reynolds to be an NFL WR one day.
Edit: if anyone has that clip of Reynolds one handed grab please post it. My jaw fricking dropped to the floor after that one. You could see the cornerback laugh and ask him after "did you just one hand that?" And Reynolds smiled and nodded as they ran back to run the next play

So what is your question? They almost play different positions. Reynolds is great on the outside and kirk is playing great on the inside. Both are necessary.
WR is WR........geez!!!
Just because they have "different" skill-sets doesn't mean the position changes!!!
It's so easy to spot people who have never played the game of football outside of Madden

Hard to say, they are both special playing different positions at WR.
Reynolds move on the CB on our 2pt conversion was sick.

Slot vs. Outside receiver. Not saying they are this level, but it's like comparing Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Very different types of WR, but both effective

X Y & Z in this offense have different roles, run different routes, face off against different defenders, take different amount of punishment, have different opportunities for YAC. Sure they all "catch the ball", but each is different enough to be a separate position in my opinion. Would you argue that a FB is the same as a HB? They both line up (traditionally) behind the QB, both take hand-offs... so same thing according to your logic?

The duo kind of reminds me of Sammy Watkins (Kirk) and Nuk Hopkins(Reynolds) at Clemson a few years ago.

Sure, in the same sense that halfback and fullback are both "running backs".

Have to give aTm props here, Kirk was awesome Saturday. Look forward to watching more of him. Reynolds is the typical WR, a good one, but I think Kirk is the game changer you guys have been looking for.

Speedy has been injured all year so far.
All year or all season? 9months is a long time for a hamstring injury.

Our OC is going to and has already been using Kirk as he did Tavon Austin in WV. One of the plays he had Kirk sneak out of the back field uncovered and just busted up the middle for a huge play. the play calls to Kirk were awesome last week and I expect it to continue. Our OC has been dying to get a talented slot in his scheme
