A&M people: Kirk or Reynolds?

I say Reynolds.
Kirk is a firecracker and has become a human highlight reel, but Reynolds is more of a prototype WR. He reminds me a lot of Randy Moss - a tall guy with great acceleration and incredible hands. He only had a couple of catches last week, but they looked effortless, and the one-handed catch out of bounds was impressive. If I was an NFL GM, I'd take him in a heartbeat.
BTW, what has happened to Speedy Noil? I thought he'd be doing what Kirk is doing this year?.

Different positions on WR.

Speedy has been hurt. Speculation is its a hammy issue.

What are you asking, exactly?
Reynolds definitely has more experience. Kirk is electric and has an insane upside considering he's a true freshman.
Speedy has been injured all year so far.

Reynolds has 11 catches for 242 yards this year, thats 22 yards per catch.

So what is your question? They almost play different positions. Reynolds is great on the outside and kirk is playing great on the inside. Both are necessary.
Speedy went to the lockerroom in the first half with an injury. Not sure the status. But he has been banged up and obviously not pushed too hard to come back because of Kirk.

Christian and Josh play different positions

Reynolds. Always comes through in clutch time. Next year I think Kirk takes the spot. I still wish Evans was here for 2 more years.
Swope was a beast too.

I've heard from numerous A&M folks that they believe Speedy has potentially been in the doghouse? Any truth to that? Or would yall even know?
FYI, I'm not trolling.

I don't think there's any truth to that. He's just had the injury bug

He missed part of the ASU game for this. And he was in the doghouse for an undisclosed reason in the offseason. Don't know what he did. But he pissed off Sumlin somehow.

Right now, I would TRUST Reynolds more just because he's a proven quantitiy. Kirk is just really fun to watch and I think he will be our go to in the very near future.
Noil I think has been dogged by an injury, most likely a hammy. At least that's what I've heard.

Reynolds is great on the outside and Kirk is great in the inside. I think we need to utilize RSJ differently, and our slant routes are in the Holgerson mold where they run straight five yards to keep the defenders backpedaling so we don't exploit mismatches over the middle of the field the way we should or I think you'd see both Kirk and Reynolds have even better numbers so far.

it couldn't have been too big of a deal if that's all the punishment was.

Seriously.
He looks like he's carrying too much weight, which definitely affects the hammys.

They both are really, really good. Reynolds is your prototypical outside WR that can has great size and speed and can catch anything. Kind of a smoother but less physical version of Mike Evans.
Kirk though is an absolute nightmare matchup in a wide open offense like A&M's because he can take any play, be it a screen or a deep ball, and make it in to 6 points in a flash. Great speed but even better moves and most of all field vision. A&M will keep moving him all over the field and find ways to get him the ball in space where he is so dangerous.
Speedy just hasn't been 100% and he is much more raw still than those 2. If he gets healthy though I don't know how you cover all 3 of those guys on the field at the same time.

Kirk is more talented but they play different positions. Reynolds gets open downfield with amazing consistency.

Sumlin said last week that Speedy has been hurt.
Unless he is suddenly taken to lying about suspended players being hurt there is no reason to believe otherwise.

So what is your question?
Sorry. I should have been more clear.

quote:I'm not sure I agree with that. He's got great lateral moves, but Reynolds has amazing acceleration, especially for his size.
Kirk is more talented
The Saints tried the small/fast route with Cooks. He's good, but his size makes him more prone to injury and he's not the kind of guy who will go up and take a ball away from a defender. Reynolds is.
