had very little to work with but got a lot out of them.
Which was his MO at ASU too which I think is why Jay brought him in.

Good to know. Thanks. I haven’t had a chance to look into him much.

He’s a good coach. Did a lot with average talent.
Why did he leave as a head coach at Washington to be an assistant ?

Astroglide & Mechanical should have hired Kelly as the Head Coach and kept Earley on as Assistant.
Who leaves a HC position to be a Pitching coach?
Kelly is probably getting paid more than Earley and is most likely the actual HC.........

Really hard to tell at LSU because his ace in Hilliard topped out at 88 fastball
That pitching staff took lsu as far as it would go that season

Id imagine moving to the B1G in baseball isn't exactly a selling point for seriousness of the program on a national level.

Exactly.
Being a coach in waiting in the SEC is better than being a coach in the B10.
Not that big of a stretch

It's amazing the momentum A&M has in baseball right not. What a difference 4 days make!
We went from total shock and sense of loss to an almost Euphoria. What we're hearing about Schloss now from players and others, and now the players getting the coach they wanted.....
we need to hold our breath to see how many players we can keep, but I think this team is looking great for next year.
Thank you, t.u.

2018 national assistant coach of the year and took Washington to the tourny in 2023 during his first year as HC. Didn't make it past regionals but getting there after 4 years of not is impressive.

Aggies are being pro-active. They already have Earleys replacement on the payroll CHEAP !!

It wouldn’t be an Aggie coaching change without somehow trying to get LSU’s scraps

Especially if you’re the coach at a program in the B10 that will be racking up air miles at an alarming rate. Those trips to Maryland, Penn St. and Rutgers every other week can’t help optimize your teams chances to play their best baseball.

Does hiring ex hitting coach keep current players from leaving?

Makes sense too. Have a successful HC on staff.
Knows LSU…pitching…

General Manager-
will be “responsible for directing all aspects of recruiting prospective student-athletes” to the program, according to the job description, and report to new head coach (Early). The role also includes leading the program’s name, image, and likeness (NIL) activities.

I agree, thanks sips. We are better off. You are stuck with an a-hole which is now known nationally.
Not gonna help w recruting. And if we steal Longley, too? That is likely an upgrade from Cain, too. Painful for sips.
Looks like we play chess better even with zero warning.
Karma. It is gonna keep coming for you!!

The only way you are better off is if you actually win the Natty. That’s a tough bar to achieve.
