The worst thing he did was walk past Sumlin instead of stopping and looking his coach in the eyes. Rice was chirping at him all half. It will get worse in SEC play. He has to ignore.

The only reason it made Johnny mad it was because it was lowly Rice, and those people aren't talented enough to talk shite, they are doing it out of spite. When Johnny bests some Bama defenders and waltzes in to the endzone, the fury will be on the Bama defense, not Manziel.

The press makes it sound like he is a murderer or something. I took my brother from baton rouge to the game and he had a ball except for the heat. He was impressed with Manziel. Them we can home and turned on ESPN and saw what the press is doing to this kid. He just laughed.

How many flags were thrown yesterday for players cursing? ONE! What does that tell you? I do not ever recall a penalty for cursing.

What I am tired of is Joeckel getting no press for 28 points in a half in his first game. Not a word on A&M scoring 52 points when they only had the ball 21 minutes. A rookie punter with a 77 yard punt into the wind. Every time this kid farts that makes the headlines and nothing else.

Firing squad in front of Rudder Tower is the only solution.

I think the fact that he didnt seem to care enough or couldn't contain himself from that taunting penalty, with everything else going on, just shows that the team is not his priority.

I guess this is the issue. Is it others doing this to him? Is it? Or is he doing it to himself? I don't know, maybe a little of both.

In January 1979, as a sophomore at Pitt, May was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, inciting a riot, and making terroristic threats. May reportedly was jumping on top of parked cars, threatening police officers and encouraging a crowd of onlookers to fight the officers.[13] He was found guilty of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, while the other charges were dismissed.v [14]As a member of the Redskins, May was twice arrested for DUI. The second instance occurred in March 1990, and the first in 1985 in Arlington, Virginia.[15]

i have never heard an aggy agree with the media. all i've heard is them ranting about how the liberal media destroys america and isn't allowed in texas. so i'm gonna speculate that they uniformly do not agree with the media. it's kinda a group think thing. oh, and they love winning football games and understand manziel is the main reason why they are winning. so they love manziel no matter what they try to make you believe.

Not badmouthing A&M but if I had to bet JM's going to self-destruct within a year. Every team is going to taunt the dogshlt out of him this season. He obviously can't deal with it.

"It's quite obvious now that Sumlin still has a very immature player on his hands, one who is brilliantly talented enough to take Texas A&M all the way to a Southeastern Conference title but also one who is just volatile and narcissistic enough to implode on him."

USA Today article about sums it up.

I was pissed that he let his ego go before the team and got a dumb penalty. I was glad he sat.

Offseason stuff is in the past. It's time for him to lead, positively. Anything less is a failure on his part.
