This is like canceling an FCS game in November. Does anyone really care about A&M beating the crap out of the worst team in the Southland?

You play the games for a reason. Unless you're aggy.

Then you quit because bitch is in your veins.

I can’t imagine anyone other than Aggy pulling this shot. Maybe their Whorn brethren.

That’s why I say “frick Texas” doesn’t just apply to Austin

They don't.

That recruiting class made them livid.

I still don't like the move to not play, but the way these goons have been howling, the next time anybody quits ANYTHING I'm starting 40 threads about it.

Maybe y'all should win more games and you wouldn't have to worry about getting snubbed.

That is literally the issue. We would get another win vs IW and drop.

Schloss didn’t approve this schedule. This schedule was approved by previous coach before getting fired.

I’ll give Schloss a pass on this one. I get it, it’s bad optics.

My biggest worry is the locker room mentality. Tough test tonight vs MissSt.

How does one forfeit a game neither team wanted to play?

I can't remember any other program ever cancelling a game just because they didn't want to play and Aggie has done it twice now.

You continue to peddle this line about the Wake Forest game. Are you hoping that if you keep posting it, that it will be true?

It's absolutely true.

The only people who claim it isn't are Aggies making Agscuses.

There's absolutely no legitimate reason why Aggie couldn't play their bowl game.

Wow, 172 responses to this thread. I just want to say thank you to all the other schools concerns for our program. Our coach also says thank you for your concerns and he will continue focusing on what’s best for his team.

Now continue stating a bunch of nonsense that will have exactly zero bearing on anything.

Notre Dame canceled an entire series just 2 weeks ago to avoid having to play William & Mary.

I'm not the biggest college baseball fan in the world, I'll admit. Is anyone discussing how weird the RPI system is if teams are having to cancel games that are likely wins because a win would some how negatively affect the ranking?

I guess the simple answer would be don't schedule that team, but the whole system seems kinda backwards no?

It kinda sucks to have to tell a team, "Sorry we can't pay you to play because even starting this game will drop us in the rankings". Not to mention, the optics are terrible.

No, it hasn't been discussed because no one wants to discuss it. They want to get mad at mean ole daddy aggy.

On the contrary, Texas routinely travels across the state to play other Texas teams at their home stadiums.

Texas 2022 - Nonconference away games
(not counting neutral site games at Minute Maid)

1 FEB 22 (TUE)  Texas A&M - Corpus Christi
2 FEB 23 (WED)  Texas A&M - Corpus Christi
3 MAR 1 (TUE)  Sam Houston State University
4 MAR 8 (TUE)  Texas State University
5 MAR 9 (WED)  Texas State University
6 MAR 12 (SAT)  University of South Carolina
7 MAR 13 (SUN)  University of South Carolina
8 MAR 13 (SUN)  University of South Carolina
9 MAR 15 (TUE)  College of Charleston
10 MAR 16 (WED)  The Citadel
11 APR 26 (TUE)  University of Texas-Pan American

Texas used to travel to the west coast every year until Covid.

Any SEC teams play 11 nonconference games on the road?

If Aggie is someone's "daddy" then they're definitely of the deadbeat variety.
