Both are sponsored by Adidas!
Only 12 schools use Adidas, but these 2 came out of the same womb! Of course they use Adidas!

Dude you’re so clueless. My daughter is a college volleyball player and my son was recruited as well so I have first hand knowledge of the recruiting game.

You know how many times ALL time record came up in our family recruiting talks? Zero.

We talked about recent achievements. Currently facilities. Current Staff. Where the team was now.

Why don’t you talk about how good your current team is? Or how your current defense is awesome? Or how your current recruiting is going so well?

Something relevant? Anything relevant? Because stats about what happened before these players were even born, is useless to everyone.

And frankly it makes you appear like you have nothing currently noteworthy to be proud of.

Texas just won 3 games in Omaha this year.
Texas averages more than 2 wins each time in Omaha,
Rutgers has 2 wins all time
A&M has 2 wins all time.

A&M and Rutgers are the best programs in their respective states, too, so this definitely checks out.

So true. UT-Austin fans have nothing better to do than dream up pretty stupid logic. All while they ignore their dumpster fire program and ask for entrance into the SEC.

Remember to keep our SEC hashtag and bashing of their mediocre program and brand.

#hornsdownsecnation

I would like to say that will shut their pie holes after a few SEC games but in reality these fans will always live long in the past.

First off I wasn't responding to you. My reply was to someone else, and so my response was in line with what they stated.

Regarding what you posted, if I thought it was genuine, I likely would have responded to you directly when you raised the point, but I have my doubts. That is probably all I should say on that point.

A couple of quick things that are curious. Just football alone there seems to be a disconnect. Whether it is NFL draft picks, conference championships, all time record, weeks ranked, etc. But I suspect you knew that already.

Also curious why not mention Women's basketball. Similarities in having a hall of fame coach who took teams from different schools to the Final Four. Granted C. Vivian Stringer didn't win a NCAA title while at Rutgers, she was a really good coach and they had a pretty strong program. The Vols denied them that title.

Anyway, I think I get a sense of the tone and tenor of what you put forth in this and other posts. Just a casual observation. Maybe I am misjudging your overall intent with your posts. If so, I apologize. If I pegged it, then it will be easy to spot in future posts.

I don't spend a lot of time on the board. But I do check in from time to time. Things to do.

It can be entertaining, and some people actually have thoughtful, insightful things to say. I don't include myself in that group :-)

No Championships in 82 years.

No history of winning, outside of a brief period during the FedEx years.

27 years since a FedEx tainted Conference Championship.

IOW your kids were recruited by programs that didn't have a historical presence worth boasting.

Simply put, there's a reason why A&M manufactured 2 new NC's overnight.

I ask him to cite good things about (football) recruiting and defense and whorn says “we’re good at baseball!”

LMAO.

Comes over here talking smack about other teams that are ranked higher than the horns, and then when bluntly asked “well give me a statistic you consider that’s good about Texas”, it’s “Have you heard about our baseball team?”

Name a unit, hell even a single player, of your football team that would rank in the top six in the SEC? Name one. And punting doesn’t count.

Let me guess “AkM hasn’t won a championship....y’all are precious.”

No, it’s just irrelevant to the conversation and frankly none of your business. My daughter was recruited by very big name programs. Two in the SEC. My son by two Ivy League schools but he pursued a doctorate in mathematics instead and is currently at Amazon. My daughter decided against D1 because of the practice time commitment and her desire to be a vet. If you actually do this recruiting gig, it’s not just about the prestige of the program. It’s also about what type of degree you actually are pursuing.

My sons recruiting calls and trips were to Yale and Penn. My daughters had calls or trips with Florida, Wisconsin, Yale, Mississippi, Arizona, UNC, and Penn plus thirty other programs too numerous to count. She spoke with coaches all over this nation for three years.

However for her it wasn’t about money, it was about the right school for her major. She’s currently at a very highly nationally ranked D3 volleyball program and she’s on her way towards vet school hopefully.

I won’t say which one, because frankly it’s none of your business.

But jump up and bite my arse anyway.

I have already answered that question..

I truly believe it would be a good game and either team could win. There is also no way to accurately predict the outcome of that game. Add the emotions and hype of the game.. and two QBs without a lot of experience. It just isn’t possible right now.

You are a fool if you think otherwise.

Yes. New Jersey is the 11th most populated state with 8+ million people..
8+ million is smaller than the current SEC state footprint average of 9+ million. When OU joins that number will go down a bit, but not by that much, looks like around 8.75 mil.

You do know history means "past," right? Just checking.

It always strikes me as weird/delusional how so many sips over so many years - and ND fans, too - seem to think that past wins = future wins when their circumstances are nowhere near the same. Ah, well. They'll learn the hard way, then.
