Not sure how any of that is relevant.. that is like saying the SWC in 1990 had a larger footprint average than the SEC in 2020.

Texas 17 million in 1990
Arkansas 2 million in 1990
Average Footprint 9.5 million

That doesn’t exactly paint the whole picture..

My point was that the B1G added Rutgers for the same reason that the SEC added Texas A&M, Both wanted to expand their footprint into those states. That mattered in 2012.

You do know history means "past," right? Just checking.

It always strikes me as weird/delusional how so many sips over so many years - and ND fans, too - seem to think that past wins = future wins when their circumstances are nowhere near the same. Ah, well. They'll learn the hard way, then.

I have no idea how old you are.. but the Aggies have been saying the exact same thing since the 1980s.. Perhaps even longer..

The Aggies always talk about the future.. that history means nothing and that is in the past.. blah blah blah.. This time it is different.. it never changes!

So my question remains..

Does A&M = Rutgers? I say YES!

I think it’s a great comparison and I list the reasons in the OP. If you don’t agree, then tell me why you don’t agree.

Robinson? I am afraid he’s not fast enough son. You see the top backs in the SEC are below 4.4 in the 40. That won’t get it done.
And he’s not big enough to be a power back at 215. But 8 yards a carry type production in the Big12 is nice though, where there aren’t NFL linemen to stop you.

You got anyone else?

I would put him at around 8. A&M has three backs now that are faster and so does Bama. His 40 is a 4.78. For a RB, that’s slow. We have DBs that can run that fast.

Cool. Your opinion and fifty cents could buy a postage stamp.

You don’t really deserve a response, because you clearly have SEC blinders the size of Texas on, but I get a free bump out of it, so here we go..

Link #1 - Bleacher Report
This list has him #2 overall and #1 in the SEC.

Link #2 - 247 Sports Top 25 RB
This list has him as #5 overall and #3 in the SEC.

Link #3 - Pro Football Focus - Top 11 RB
This list has him #11 overall and #6 in the SEC.

Clearly the guy is pretty good. Sark has had a 1000 rusher every year that he has been a Head Coach. If Bijan stays healthy, he is going to be a beast.. but I guess SEC Emmitt Smith would suck now because he isn’t the fastest..

So you obviously agree with my belief that A&M = Rutgers.. otherwise, you would surely dispute my claim.. right? I mean, I was pretty shocked myself.. I guess that is why you are trying to create misdirection and take the focus off of A&M.

No, you see you’re assuming I give a crap.

You see aggies (at least this one) don’t play this game anymore (which is why it’s okay with us to never play you). We don’t even want, or care to play you, your team is irrelevant to us. Completely. Sure, we haven’t changed our fight song, but that’s just because we like it because it reminds us of when our parents sang it.

But make no mistake, we don’t give two craps about your team or comparing ourselves to a team that isn’t winning. Or listening to your horsecrap. It doesn’t matter what A&M does, you will never fairly evaluate A&M for a good season. Ever.

And we frankly, know that, so we are just focused on the next win. Just win baby. That’s literally all we care about. Not previous records, or previous teams, or history, just the next win. That’s all that matters.

Now, when your team actually IS CURRENTLY winning, we will be all ears copying everything you do. In short if you are “actually currently winning” then your opinion matters. Until then, it’s not worth a darn thing.

We follow (and admire) teams that actually are successful currently.

So when your team actually is in a bowl game better than we are while playing in the SEC, then maybe we will care what you say. Until then sit down until your team finishes in the top four.

Because until then no one is watching or cares what Texas does. Marketing don’t mean crap here. Texas spins nothing in the SEC. No one does.

It’s about one thing. Just win baby. So no, Your opinion is worthless and has no effect or impact on anything or anyone.

You mean like Texas having a more recent 10 win season than A&M? You mean like Texas beating Georgia, something that A&M hasn’t done since they joined the SEC? Yes I know.. Georgia didn’t care to be there.. so they decided to get their arse kicked all night. The score was closer then the game too..

That’s horseshite too.. Texas could go undefeated in the SEC 5 straight years.. and you would say.. yes
but next year.. blah blah blah..

Clearly the SEC didn’t care about your opinion to keep Texas out.. and clearly Texas meant more to the SEC than A&M did.. harsh reality.. but true.

That’s a lot of words to say that you don’t care.. I don’t give two shits about Missouri.. so I know the difference. Keep melting it you want.. Thanks for the bump too..

Why does it make you mad/upset/sad that I think that A&M = Rutgers? Is it not a fair comparison?

Holy cow, you just proved my point! Thank you!

How's Army? Princeton? Harvard? Yale? Cornell? Nebraska? USC? Notre Dame? Michigan? Georgia Tech? Have you not been paying attention? How much do you know about college football history?

It's not the institution, it's the circumstances, sir or madam.

God Bless, and see you in a couple of years.

What circumstances do you think that A&M has over Texas? I’ll hang up and listen.

I lied. I’m not quite ready to let this one die yet.. The comparison is just too good until the Aggies actually win something of importance..

We have something in common with Texass also. Since A&M left the B12 neither of us has sniffed a B12 title.
