Storming the field is not only dangerous but it is a legal liability. I honestly don't know why people think it's a good thing. You want some drunk off his arse 45 year old to get in a fist fight with a college athlete in a highly emotional state?

You may would have an argument if this had ever happened.

Field storming has been around since at least the 80's, it's become a part of CFB.

Alabama’s program will never be able to regain the credibility and swagger they lost this season due to crying about this so hard.

Some of them think that the team’s success means that they are special and their opinions and feelings are more valuable. They view themselves as protagonists to the story of college football. Truth is nobody else gives a damn what you think or feel about how we celebrate. Don’t like it, don’t keep losing.

If they keep losing, the only field they will have to worry about storming is their own.

Yes it was. It was done in response to the Tenn/AL and LSU/Ole Miss incidents. And even with that being the case, and LSU knowing the SEC currently has a hard on to keep it from happening again, the LSU administration gave the SEC the finger the very next day. .

It's insane that storming the field is all of a sudden a major issue. By far more people are hurt during tailgating and in the stands during games. I would never storm the field but I don't care whatsoever if others do or how often they do it.

Gumps own the SEC and are petitioning to put an end to this “dangerous & trashy” event.

Alabama obviously isn’t even very good this year and in both losses the other team rushed the field. Apparently it’s a huge deal to rival fans to beat Alabama. Who knew

I would like to see half the security that is used to try to prevent students from storming the field(it doesn't stop anything) go to the opposing team and protect them from any fans that try to get close.

I'm 100% in favor of security taking out anyone who tries to get in the face of opposing players/coaches. If you storm the field it should be to celebrate with your fans and team, not to go taunt other players.

You can't stop the fans on huge wins like this, but you can make it better for the opposing team.
