re: Beau Pribula to Portal

Not much makes sense in this era of college sports. Just another kid chasing a big pay day.
If the story of him leaving to be closer to his kid is true, I don't see him returning and really wouldn't blame him. But you never know...money talks loud in these situations.

Wouldn't that be 99?

This happens every time any school has a coaching change. People who are surprised or worried about any of this are either completely irrational or just plain dumb.

Like most have said, I think Yorke starts at 1B with a revolving door at DH between a few guys until someone separates themselves. I could see any one of Braun, Harden, Serna, and Simpson getting a shot at DH.

I also wouldn't count out Ruckert sneaking into the lineup at 2nd eventually. He had a pretty good fall while his competition struggled a little.
He was our main source on the Rant. :dude:

He threw his name in, but it was intercepted.

If it means Shane Youman gets on the mound, I'm in!

Just basing off of these stats, it appears 2nd base and 3rd base are still up for grabs. None of Reeves, Simpson, Dardar, and Pearson really did much offensively. Ruckert looks to have made a case for himself to possibly take one of these spots.

For those that were actually able to watch a little of the scrimmages, how do you think those two positions will shake up?

Arrambide's K rate is the most promising stat to me. Last year he had a good bit of swing and miss while adjusting to college level pitching. At least in the fall, he appears to be adjusting quite well.

Lagway is intriguing as he has shown to be pretty good throwing it to LSU players.

Arrambide!!! Can't get much better than that!
A forward pass in front of the LOS and the Rant immediately explodes!
Trinidad, when he's granted an additional year.
I'm sure there will be a good mix of both. Any time a coaching change happens though, the new coach seems to lean a little heavier on the portal.
But were those "few" in the main thread saying to trade everyone yesterday?
My condolences and :geauxtigers:

There are no actual rumors. Just deductive speculation that it's likely Napier will be fired, thus making it like Lagway would consider transferring. He was recruited by LSU...along with everyone else...so maybe LSU would be a potential transfer destination (if he chose to transfer). There's nothing concrete about anything.

Lagway does like throwing to LSU players. Would be a great fit.
Not trying to be a smart mouth and honestly asking this question...how many times last season was Major Burns isolated or asked to cover a WR man to man? I would imagine not much. And I'd have to think HP could play a short zone or cover a TE/RB as good as or better than Burns.

And I answered it. Where’s the problem?

Because I asked why it matters? To which, by the way, he answered my question that it doesn’t and he was just curious. Cool.

But I’m whiny I guess.

In what role? RB or a special teams player?

I'm sure he's a reserve running back and will play all special teams. What does it matter?
