I get your premise but it's not exactly the same thing. In baseball, they aren't signing a contract then changing their mind and going to school. Also, after the MLB draft they have a window to make a decision.

I think Burns' odds are more to do with the season the Miz is having opposed to a slight on Burns. Miz is beating him is pretty much every category.

I don’t pretend to follow Indiana football and I understand they won the title last year, but weren’t they very senior heavy? Did they reload that well or is this more of a “respect the champ” kind of rating?

His defense is elite but he’s a fringe .300 hitter in college with a little power but he’s probably close to his ceiling in that department.
At best, he’s a utility guy off the bench or late inning defensive sub in the bigs. I love the Monster, but he’s not a top 200.
