This is perfectly reasonable and it’s also the most you can possibly do. Trying to stop it by force or barrier will result in human crush conditions.

Yeah, focus more security around the visiting team in the back end of the 4th quarter. If there's no rush, fine, if there is, security can form a human wall while the visitors go to the locker room. Coaches go shake hands with their 2 cops as usual, more security on the field to get the visiting team off.
