We had a 6 game streak in the Iron Bowl until 2008. Tuberville threw the towel in that season.

Yes Alabama was coming off of sanctions when Saban arrived and was still on probation two yrs into his start or at least his first year for sure. I remember the Cecil hurt article when probation was over.

because he couldnt keep up with recruiting. Same can be said for Saban and Freeze. Saban just couldnt keep up, so he quit to himself from the embarrassment of 5 star flips

Well that’s not really surprising

Especially when Shula’s first class he could only sign 14 and the next year 18.

Hard to compete when everyone else is signing 25-30

I know this is hard for you to think about, but college football didn’t start in 2000.

FIFY accurately.

Those signing day switches weren't stolen, they were bought.

Alabama got lucky and hired the two greatest college football coaches of all time. Bama didn’t make those two men….they made Bama.

Time to learn that lesson because the odds of them hiring the third best college coach of all time is minuscule

I'll be there first to admit. A lot of things had to happen for Saban to win a couple of his six titles at Bama. But when things broke his way... He was ready and flat out took advantage of theb opportunity. That's what winners do. Same scenario with getting Saban to Bama... Wasn't Mal Moore and Nick Saban bumping into each other at the dentist office luck.... There was a lot of effort in making that luck happen

Kinda hard to compete when the coach across the state and comes and starts throwing out cash to recruits and you have to follow the rules.

But Saban may be called the greatest coach but he's also the one that brought on the NIL and Portal. He put in recruits head how much they were worth and showed players how he could trap them with promises to play just to keep them away from the other teams and instead waste players careers away. Ironically in the end it's what done him in and he couldn't handle.

Well aware friend

You are about to know how much people fricking hate Alabama, particularly players. They didn’t flock there for your history or culture.

The NCAA did everything but give Alabama the death penalty in 2002. But you knew that, didn’t you?
